Friends, hello!

Some time ago I made a flower pot from a 5 liter plastic bottle in a marine style. It can be used as a flowerpot, placed on the windowsill and as a regular flower pot, this is optional.

You definitely can't buy such a flowerpot in a store, at least I've never seen one in our city. And making it is not very difficult with your own hands.

For making, I needed:

· Plastic bottle for 5 liters;

· Knife, scissors, marker;

· Sandpaper;

· PVA glue;

· Several screws, screwdriver;

· Plaster bandage;

· Floristic mesh;

· Several seashells;

· Plaster based putty;

· Acrylic paints;

· Universal varnish in a spray can.

You can make such a pots in a couple of evenings, spending 1-2 hours of time. And it will delight you for a very long time.

Step 1.

I cut off the unnecessary from the plastic bottle, which would have turned out, as in the photo.

Step 2.

Sandpaper cleaned both parts of the bottle, scratching them well. This is necessary so that the plastic becomes rough and the plaster bandage adheres to it well in the future.

Step 3.

With screws, I connected both parts of the bottle together.

Step 4.

I glued a plaster bandage to the future pot. By the way, the plaster bandage is sold at the pharmacy. He left it for 1 hour, so that the plaster of Paris would set.

Step 5.

I glued several pieces of floral mesh onto the pots with PVA glue.

You can find out where to buy a floral net at a flower shop, they will tell you. Or, if you agree, they will sell you a couple of pieces, it is not expensive.

I glued on a few more pieces of plaster bandage, imitating waves, or something similar.

Step 6.

After the bandage had dried, I glued several shells and stars onto the pots. Glued to the putty.

Step 7.

I will have it just a pot, therefore, I drilled several holes in the bottom. If it is a planter, the holes are not needed.

Step 8.

I painted the pot with dark blue acrylic paint and left to dry for 20 minutes.

Finished with light white acrylic paint.

And he tinted the shells and stars a little with orange and yellow paint.

Step 9.

I covered the pot with a universal varnish from a spray can 2 times. This varnish is suitable for almost everything and protects very well against water and moisture.

The flower pot is ready!
