Hello, hello friends and guests of the channel!
To be honest, I did not expect that now, in winter, summer crafts for the garden and summer cottages will be in demand. But, yesterday I wrote an article, how I made decorative balls for the garden from sand and cementand it got quite a lot of views and positive reviews. Therefore, today I hasten to share with you another garden decorative craft.
This time I will show you how I made a real live fire that will decorate any corner of the garden or summer cottage. And what could be more beautiful than a trickle of living flame, which gives light and a little warmth.
For making, I used:
· Plastic flower pot, plastic cup;
· Scotch tape;
· Hand cream;
· Sand, cement m400;
· Basin;
· Coarse sandpaper;
· Metal mesh;
· Acrylic paints;
· Universal varnish in a spray can;
· Pebbles;
· Cans;
· Screwdriver with a thin drill;
· Medical alcohol.
And now about everything in order.
Step 1.
In the flower pot, I sealed the holes with tape. From the inside I smeared the pot with hand cream, you can use vegetable or other oil. I also greased the plastic cup.
Step 2.
I mixed a solution of 2 parts of sand and 1 part of cement in a basin.
Step 3.
I dumped the solution into a pot, placed a plastic cup in the center and put several stones in it so that it would not float. I placed the cup exactly in the middle of the pot and so that it did not reach the bottom of 2-3 cm.
Step 4.
After 24 hours, he removed the frozen product.
Step 5.
I processed the edges with coarse sandpaper.
Step 6.
I cut out the metal mesh so that it was slightly lower (2-3 cm) of the upper edge.
Step 7.
Painted the cement pot with black acrylic paint. When it was dry, it was brushed with a light bronze paint.
Step 8.
I applied varnish from a spray can.
Step 9.
I drilled holes about 2 mm in diameter in a shallow tin can.
Step 10.
At the bottom of the pot I put an iron jar of suitable height, drilled on it and covered it with a net.
Step 11.
I put stones on the net, leaving space in the center.
Step 12.
Pour medical alcohol into a jar and set it on fire.
Beauty is ready!
See how beautiful the light burns:
I will say a few more words. Alcohol does not burn very long, 50 ml for about 15 minutes. You can use special biofuel for biofireplaces. It will be cheaper and last longer. It can be liquid and in the form of a gel.
The stones do not crack from the temperature, my fire burned for several hours, everything is fine. You can extinguish the hearth easily by covering it with a cover or just a wet rag.
Do not try to add fuel to the burning hearth, first extinguish it, let it cool slightly, then pour it. Otherwise, it may blaze not childishly. Be careful - it's still fire.
