Hello dear friends!

Happy New Year 2020! May all your wishes come true this year! How did you meet this year, write a few words in the comments? I met the New Year with my family in a warm home environment.

And now, I want to tell you a little story about how we made home decor in a nautical style from jute rope and shells. It turned out just great! Very easy to make and looks awesome!

For the manufacture of decor used:

· Corrugated cardboard;

· Jute rope about 1 cm thick, about 9 meters long;

· A piece of wallpaper;

· PVA glue, hot glue;

· Jute twine;

· Shells, stars;

· Beads.

The most precious thing for this decor is jute rope and shells. Everything else is little things. We bought a rope very well, about 50 rubles per meter, usually it costs 80-100 rubles in our market. They spent about 150 rubles on shells. The rest took about 50 rubles.

Total, for 650 rubles and a couple of hours of time, a cool home decor turned out that will wonderfully decorate almost any interior.

A request to those who are far from such a hobby and do-it-yourself crafts, pass by, you do not need to write comments that are not related to the topic and yours, “it's easier to buy”! Save your time.

Step 1.

A circle with a diameter of 36 cm was cut out of corrugated cardboard, and in the center we cut out a circle with a diameter of 16 cm.

Step 2.

Cut out a circle from the wallpaper, the same diameter as from cardboard. And in the center, the circle is slightly smaller.

We make cuts in the wallpaper, as shown in the photo and glue it on the cardboard. We glue it on PVA, smoothing it with a cloth so that no air bubbles remain.

Step 3.

We begin to glue the jute rope onto the cardboard circle from the center outward with hot glue.

At the end, cut off and glue the tip with hot glue.

Step 4.

We measure the outer size of the circle and cut off 3 pieces of jute twine of a slightly longer length. We braid a pigtail from these 3 threads and glue it with hot glue on a circle.

We do the same with the inner circle.

Step 5.

With a lighter or candles, we slightly burn the protruding hairs on the rope.

Step 6.

From a small piece of rope (90 cm) we make a loop on which the entire decor will hang.

Step 7.

We decorate the circle itself. We glued several threads of jute, on top of them a star, and small shells on the ends of the threads.

Several shells and stars were also glued to the circle, a little jute twine and a few beads were added.

The decor in a nautical style is ready, can be hung on the wall or on the door.

See what kind of home decor we have made:

Interior decor from old boards and dry branches

Decor idea from plastic spoons and cardboard

Home decor from twigs and balls of thread
