A useful thing for the house was made from a 5 liter plastic bottle

A couple of days ago they made an interesting and rather useful craft from a large plastic bottle and other materials. The bottle served as the base that we decorated.

For the manufacture of materials were used:

· 5 liter plastic bottle;

· Marker, scissors, stationery knife;

· Disposable plastic plate;

· Jute twine or other;

· PVA glue and hot glue;

· Stones;

· Newspaper;

· Napkins;

· Corrugated cardboard;

· Masking tape;

· Homemade polymer clay (I will show you the recipe);

· Molds;

Peas;

· Acrylic paints;

· Acrylic lacquer.

It may seem that there are a lot of materials, but most of them are available even for people who are not involved in needlework. And if you often do crafts, and at all, you will find almost all the materials.

Step 1.

Cut off the upper part from the plastic bottle.

Step 2.

We cut off the side of the plastic cup and cut a hole in the bottom for the bottleneck.

Step 3.

We insert the neck of the bottle into the hole in the cup and tighten the lid. To prevent the bottle from dangling, wrap it with twine and glue it with hot glue.

Step 4.

We wrap the stones in a newspaper and put them on a plate.

Step 5.

Apply hot glue to the edge of the plate and glue the cardboard. Cut off the excess.

Step 6.

With masking tape, in addition, we fix the cardboard to the plate.

Step 7.

We tear the napkins and glue them using PVA glue diluted in half with water.

Step 8.

Now let's prepare our homemade polymer clay. If you're wondering, there is detailed article about this recipe. Now, briefly.

Pour in a little of any starch and pour in polymer glue. We have titanium glue, but you can use another company with a different name, the main thing is that it is polymer.

We begin to knead like dough.

Knead until the mass stops sticking to your hands. Add a little vegetable oil and the mixture is ready to go.

Step 9.

We form the mass into molds and glue it with PVA glue to the vase.

Step 10.

We glue the cord and halves of dry peas.

Step 11.

We process the cut edge of a plastic bottle with sandpaper so that it does not cut our hands.

Step 12.

Paint with black acrylic paint and dry.

We cover with acrylic varnish and also dry.

We dilute the acrylic paint with water and apply abundantly on the vase, wipe off the excess with a rag. Leave to dry.

Lightly apply bronze paint to the convex parts.

Step 13.

We cover the entire product with acrylic varnish.

It turned out to be a wonderful vase for sweets or fruits.
