Hello, my dear readers and guests of the channel!
In the summer, a couple of years ago, they made hanging pots or pots, as you prefer, for a garden or a summer cottage from 5 liter plastic bottles. The design is very simple and quite comfortable. And you can hang it on a tree branch or hedge.
For manufacturing we used:
· 2 five-liter bottles;
· Alcohol or nail polish remover;
· Acrylic paint;
· Decoupage napkins;
· PVA glue;
· Soldering iron or a nail with candles;
· Universal varnish in a spray can;
· Thick rope;
· Ring.
Step 1.
We take 2 bottles and cut off about 1/3 from the neck.
Step 2.
Wipe the cut parts with alcohol or nail polish remover.
Step 3.
We prime with acrylic paint and leave to dry for half an hour.
Step 4.
We glue the decoupage napkin on the bottle. For gluing, we use PVA glue diluted with water 50 to 50. Apply glue from the center to the edges, expelling air bubbles from under the napkin.
With your fingers, you can smooth out wrinkles that may appear when gluing the napkin. The main thing is neat, otherwise it is very easy to tear a wet napkin.
Leave to dry for several hours.
We have chosen such decoupage napkins, but there are a lot of them, so everyone will find it to their liking.
Step 5.
Holes for water were melted in the lid with a soldering iron and painted with acrylic paint.
Step 6.
Covered the pots with universal varnish from a spray can 2 times, with a thick layer. Now the pots are not afraid of the sun or rain.
Step 7.
We burn holes for the rope on 4 sides.
Step 8.
We took 4 pieces of rope 96 cm long. They tied them to the first pot, then passed them through the holes in the second and also tied them.
Step 9.
A metal ring was tied to the free end of the ropes.
Everything, the hanging planter-pot is ready. Can be planted and hung in the garden.
