Hello dear readers and guests of the channel!
Today I will show you how we decorated ordinary, unremarkable plastic jars that are great for bulk products in the kitchen. We have bought jars intended specifically for food products.
The decor is quite simple, requiring no expensive materials or great decorating skills. All you need is desire and a little perseverance.
For decoration we used:
· Plastic jars;
· Thinner or nail polish remover;
· PVA glue and hot glue;
· Wavy ribbon or other;
· Regular napkins;
· Pencil, brush;
· Pits from cherries and plums (others are possible);
· Acrylic paints and acrylic varnish.
A request to those who find it easier to buy, do not waste your time on this article, you do not need it. Leave that to people who love DIY crafts. Thank you!
Step 1.
We wipe the jars with a solvent or nail polish remover (you can use alcohol). This is in order to degrease the surface and glue better.
Step 2.
We tear the napkins into small pieces, wrinkle them and glue them on the jars. We glue on PVA diluted with water, approximately in half.
We have PVA construction glue, you can also use joiner's glue.
Step 3.
In the same way as the jars, we glue the lids. We leave everything to dry for 12 hours.
Step 4.
We write the name of the products on the banks. For example, Tea, Coffee, Cocoa, etc. We draw any patterns that come to mind.
Step 5.
Apply hot glue to letters and patterns.
Step 6.
A wavy ribbon and plum pits were glued to the lid.
Step 7.
We painted everything first with black acrylic paint.
After the black paint, lilac paint was applied using the dry brush method.
At the end, we covered it with bronze paint.
Step 8.
Covered the jars with acrylic varnish 2 times. Now they can be safely washed.
The jars for the kitchen are ready.
