Dear friends, hello everyone!

In this article, I want to tell you how I made a vertical flower bed last summer. I did it for the first time, so maybe I missed something in the manufacture. But overall it turned out well, I think.

I will not teach you what and how to do, but simply share my experience.

To make the garden bed, I used:

· Plastic pipe with a diameter of 70 mm;

· Plastic bucket;

· Mesh with cells 5 by 5 cm;

· Dense polyethylene;

· Roulette, metal scissors, pliers;

· Screwdriver or drill, drill;

· Paint in a spray can;

· Thin wire;

· Stones.

Making a vertical bed is not at all difficult, I finished it in about 3 hours.

Step 1.

I took a plastic pipe with a diameter of 70 mm and a length of about 1 meter. He closed the plug tightly and drilled several holes for water with a diameter of 2 mm along the pipe.

Step 2.

In the bottom of the plastic paint bucket, I drilled holes for water drainage with a diameter of about 15 mm.

Step 3.

I painted the bucket with green spray paint so that it was not so scary.

Step 4.

The net I have is 1 meter high, I just have to measure the circumference of the bucket and cut off the same amount of net. I cut off the mesh with a margin to make a small overlap.

Step 5.

Using soft wire, fastened the mesh at the joints.

Here's a design I got.

Step 6.

Cut off the desired piece of polyethylene in height and width. I tried it on, everything fit perfectly.

Step 7.

I set the pipe roughly in the center and filled the bucket with more than half of the stones. They fixed the pipe as I need it and will serve as a drain.

Step 8.

He began to fill the bed with earth. I poured 1 bucket each and tamped it with a stick. He also poured some water so that the earth would settle better.

So I filled it to the very top and filled it with water again.

Here's a bag.

Step 9.

We planted flowers, but we didn't have very many of them, but as it turned out, a whole bunch of flowers would fit on such a bed. The flowers were planted by cutting out a piece of polyethylene.

Now you're done.

He watered through a central pipe with holes, so the ground was saturated with water along its entire height.

The flower garden turned out to be very heavy, about 70 - 80 kg, so moving it is problematic.

Write in the comments if you had any experience of creating such beds and what came of it?
