Remained, it means we have a container of powder, and as always, it is not in our rules to throw this out. And we decided to make it a useful thing for the kitchen. It turned out to be a pretty cute thing.
For work it took:
· Plastic container for powder;
· Knife, sandpaper, nail polish remover;
· Acrylic paints;
· Brushes, molds;
· PVA glue;
· Decoupage napkins;
Homemade polymer clay (recipe here);
· Furniture handle;
· Acrylic lacquer.
Step 1.
The first step was to remove all labels from the container. And they cleaned it up with sandpaper.
And treated with nail polish remover.
Step 2.
The container was painted with white acrylic paint using a sponge and left to dry for 1 hour.
Step 3.
We glued a decoupage napkin to the container with PVA glue slightly diluted with water, otherwise it is very thick with us.
Step 4.
While the napkin is drying, we started decorating the lid.
They took homemade polymer clay and molded it into molds. Here's a recipe for homemade clay.
We glued the decor, straight wet on the lid, with PVA glue.
We screwed the furniture handle.
They left to dry for 12 hours.
Step 5.
The lid was painted with orange acrylic paint.
Then it was shaded a little with brown.
They left to dry for 1 hour.
Step 6.
We covered the entire container with the lid with acrylic varnish. Now it can be safely washed.
