Friends, I greet you!
They sorted out the closet and found old worn women's shoes. And, as usual, we decided to give them a second life and do some kind of craft. After a little thought, they came to the conclusion that they would make a wonderful thing for the garden.
For work, we used:
· Old shoes;
· A piece of polystyrene foam (dense foam);
· Cement of the M400 brand;
· HB rags;
· Sandpaper;
· Acrylic paints and universal varnish.
We are constantly engaged in the manufacture of various crafts, and we always have a lot of materials, we did not buy anything especially for this. In general, everything we do is a hobby that brings a lot of pleasure in the manufacturing process. We have never done anything for sale, but whoever likes our crafts, we just give it away.
Step 1.
They took a 5 cm thick penoplex and cut the edges with a knife, and scratched the smooth surface and made grooves. This is necessary so that the cement could at least grab onto something.
Step 2.
In a container, they diluted cement with water to a state of thick sour cream. Soaked a rag in it and covered a piece of foam.
After a while, when the first layer grabbed, the penoplex was turned over and a rag was glued to the second side.
The rest of the cement was coated with a layer of 3-4 mm. They left to dry a little for 10 minutes.
Step 3.
Using a wooden stick, a pattern was painted on the cement and left to dry for 12 hours.
After a little sandpaper.
Step 4.
Several holes were made in the sole of the shoe and sanded with sandpaper.
They also made the same solution of cement and water, as described above, and coated the shoes. They left to dry for 1 hour.
Step 5.
The rags were coated with cement mortar and glued to the shoes.
Leave to dry for 24 hours or better for 36.
Step 6.
We painted the platform made of penoplex and the shoes with dark-faith acrylic paint.
When the first coat of paint was dry, a little white paint was applied.
Step 7.
Covered 2 times with varnish from a spray can.
We planted flowers and that's what happened.
I understand perfectly well that the idea is not new, and we did not come up with it, but we really liked it, moreover, we shouldn't throw out the old shoes. So we decided to repeat it, but in a slightly different way.
