Hello dear friends!
I recently received a long-awaited, large package weighing almost 12 kg from the Czech Republic. I was waiting for her for almost 2 months after ordering. And today, I want to share my purchase with you.
I want to warn you right away that this article is not an advertisement, but only my desire to share my new tool for creativity. So that the clever guys would not later write that this is an advertisement, I erased all the logos on the photo. I will not announce the price either, since it does not matter.
And I bought myself a 3d printer. I bought it disassembled, since it is $ 250 cheaper than buying it immediately assembled. And, I was very interested, will it be difficult to assemble it, will I succeed the first time?
For about six months I was choosing and looking after a printer for myself and could not stop at something specific. And I really liked this one and plus, I found good reviews about it.
The package weighed 11.7 kg in a dense cardboard box. Our cats immediately sniffed and wiped the entire box around.
The first thing that pleasantly surprised me was the quality of the packaging that contained the printer parts. Everything is carefully and neatly folded.
And also, do not forget about the present - these are jelly bears. A trifle, but nice!
Well, the cats were right there, and they checked everything, and managed to sit in the box.
I laid out all the details on the floor, there are a lot of them, especially small ones.
I did not shoot the assembly process itself, since most of it will seem tedious and boring. But I will say a few words.
Assembled a 3d printer slowly 2 pm. I spent about 7-8 hours in total. I want to note that this turned out to be a very exciting experience. I must admit that I have not assembled a more interesting constructor in my life.
Unfortunately, the instructions are all in English, but this did not become a hindrance, the manufacturer had an electronic version on the site, which Google translator translated quite well and everything was clear. Plus, for each assembly step, there are high-quality photos of what and how to do. So, for the entire assembly period, I had a misunderstanding only 2 times, which was quickly resolved.
As a result, on the second day I had such a handsome man on my table!
After assembly, I calibrated the printer using video from YouTube. It turned out to be quite simple. Yes, I forgot to say that printer control is also in English, but as it turned out later, you quickly get used to it and this is not a problem.
The most difficult thing started when I started printing the first models. This is where I got worn out. Either the model did not stick to the table, or the plastic did not lay down as it should, in an even layer, or there were a lot of minor problems.
There was even a thought that I had assembled something wrong or the printer with a mate. But no, I just had to play around with the settings, a little experimentation and, after about 10 or 12 times, I managed to print my first model. It was really cool!
Now on the Internet there is a huge variety of ready-made 3d models that can be downloaded and printed for free. At the same time, you can make the size of the model what you need. And in the future, when I master 3d modeling, I will develop and print what I specifically need.
Anything can be printed on the printer and there is no size limit. Large parts are easily cut in the program, printed in parts and glued together. If desired, at least the car can be printed. There are no restrictions, only from the side of imagination and straight hands.
A 3d printer is not a toy, but a serious and cool tool that you need to learn how to use correctly, which is what I am doing now. And it can take more than 1 year to study all the subtleties. But it's worth it, because it's very interesting!
In the meantime, I'm typing various little things, I'm afraid to move on to large figures so as not to spoil the plastic. Plastic, 1 kg, also came with a printer, as a gift. And when it's over, I'll buy more.
As I learn, I will print something interesting and useful and share with you.
Here's a story I got today.
