How to make almost any stencil for decor for a penny with your own hands

Friends, hello!

Today I want to show you how to make a stencil literally for a penny. I have already made stencils from scotch tape and thick film, I will leave links to them at the end of the article, and today I will make a stencil from film for lamination.

So what I used to work:

Film for lamination:

· Printout with a pattern;

· Stationery knife;

· Cutting mat (without it);

· Narrow tape.

I bought the laminating film from a store that sells supplies for office equipment, paper, printer paints and more. The film is not very thick, about 200 microns. And it's not expensive. I bought 10 sheets per piece for 7 rubles. In addition, it is double, that is, 3.5 rubles are spent on 1 A4 stencil.

The patterns themselves can be found in Yandex pictures, there are thousands of them for every taste and size. Printed on an ordinary printer.

So, the approximate cost of 1 A4 stencil is about 7-9 rubles.

The knife I used is not very convenient for these cases, you can purchase a special one for cutting paper, it is not expensive.

For cutting, I used a special rug, which I bought 3 years ago, a very practical and convenient thing, I recommend.

But, if you don't have a rug, then you can cut on glass or thin plywood or fiberboard.

Step 1.

I found the required patterns in Yandex pictures and printed them.

Step 2.

I placed the printout between the films and fixed it with narrow tape. The film is double and I will cut 2 stencils at once, myself and my mother.

If you do not need 2 identical stencils, then you can separate the film.

Step 3.

I cut out the pattern on the film.

I do not recommend using very thick lamination films, they will be difficult to cut, especially on small parts.

That's all, it turns out a cool stencil for a penny.

We use such stencils to decorate our crafts, most often applying putty through them to create volumetric patterns. The film is quite durable and this stencil lasts for a long time.
