All owners of private houses, apartments and state of emergency constantly have to pay receipts for consumed electricity. The basis for such financial transactions is the readings of metering devices, which must be regularly transferred to the energy supplying organization in the prescribed manner.
Depending on the concluded contract, the amount of consumed electricity can be recorded by the management company or a community of tenants, and the data on electricity consumption must be entered in the appropriate magazine. But, there are situations when the data does not converge and you can be recalculated for electricity.
When is it produced?
For the reason that no one is obliged to constantly take care of the timely transmission of testimony, any consumer electricity may face such a situation when the data on its meter does not coincide with those specified in receipts. This allows you to manage your spending differently.
Recalculation of payments for consumed electricity can be initiated in the following situations:
- Late transmission of data - is the main reason for the recalculation. As a rule, it arises in cases where the user untimely transmitted the readings of metering devices, and the size of the fee was set for him according to a general house device or according to averaged values.
- Lack of information on consumed electricity - occurs when the consumer does not transmit data on the consumed resources. In such a situation, the energy supplying organization will independently accrue a certain amount, in accordance with the average data they have. Of course, this value cannot fully correspond to the actual consumption. Therefore, after the testimony is provided, a recalculation must be made.
- No owner of the electricity connection point, for example, during his departure for any period of time. Physically, he could not follow the reading of the electric meter, so the accrued amount will occur automatically. And after providing those, recalculation should be made.
- Incorrectly entered readings - if the electricity consumption was recorded with an error, you can ask for a recalculation. According to the legislation, residents can be present during this procedure and must make their own mark on the correctness of the recorded volumes of electricity consumption.
- Counter malfunction - if the device malfunctions by itself or after replacement you find that the device has much larger meter readings than they were before it was replaced, then it is also necessary to make recalculation.
After the power supply organization compares the amount of payments with the delivered electricity, the surplus obtained as a result of recalculation will go towards payment for subsequent months. But it should be noted that such a procedure is not always decided in favor of the consumer.
Since, according to the general house meter, the supplier may bill a lower amount for payment than the homeowner actually spent. Then you will have to pay extra after recalculating for electricity for the kilowatts not shown.
How is it produced?
If you decide to recalculate the cost of the electricity you spent, you need apply with an official application to the appropriate organization that carries out the accrual payment. As a rule, these are the UK, HOA or ZhSK, there are also other electricity suppliers, but this already depends on the specific case.
How to write an application for the recalculation of utilities?
Look at the picture above, the title and full name of the head of the relevant organization are indicated in the application header, if you know them. Otherwise, you can write "Head and Organization Name". Further, the header indicates from whom it is written, write your full name, address, you can also indicate the phone number, this will greatly simplify the feedback with you.
Further in the text of the application for recalculation:
- In the recalculation column, cross out all unnecessary types of utility bills and leave only electricity.
- Under it, indicate the period of time for which you want to recalculate.
- Next, indicate the reason why the utility should recalculate. We examined the options above, but it is better to indicate briefly in the text of the statement. For example: lack of readings, non-residence of residents, incorrect readings were taken, metering device is faulty, calculation of payment according to consumption standards does not correspond to reality (relevant for contractual consumers).
- In the column for the basis for the recalculation, you register the corresponding document, which gives the basis for this. In addition to the columns proposed in the description, you can refer to the Housing Code, the Rules for the maintenance of common property in apartment buildings, the Rules for the provision of utilities. If you have a meter failure statement drawn up by an authorized specialist, indicate it and be sure to attach a copy, as for any other document. You do not need to attach a copy of the regulatory documents.
