Good afternoon, my reader. A washbasin in the country is an absolutely necessary thing. The mere opportunity to wash and wash your hands after work on the site is already priceless. In this case, you can hang a ready-made washstand - or you can make it yourself from what is literally lying under your feet. The old rule: “Use what is at hand and do not look for something else for yourself” will help everyone.

Neck dishes

Any shatterproof dish can be used here if it has a narrow throat. There is more than enough of such good in any dacha - a canister, a plastic bottle, an old jug, etc.

First, you need to attach the dishes to a solid vertical. A specially dug pillar, a ready-made support, and a corner of an outbuilding will do. You need to fasten the container with the neck down, next to it, nailing a shelf for the detergent (a bar of soap, a bottle of liquid soap, etc.).

The principle of operation is extremely simple:

  • Water is poured into the container.
  • Screw on the lid.
  • When you need to wash, the plug is unscrewed so that the water begins to pour. The more the lid is unscrewed, the more it flows. To stop the water - just turn it all the way.
If there is a water tap, you can make a washbasin on this basis and out of it. To do this, a hose is cut into the container from the bottom of the tap, and it itself is fixed with the bottom up. Further, the principle of operation is the same.

Plastic bottle and syringe

A used (and washed!) Medical disposable syringe can be inserted into the same structure. Then a hole is made in the lower plug, the syringe is inserted inside and the joints are sealed.

The top of the syringe is cut off so that the piston rod moves freely. Then, when pressed, the piston frees the passage for water - and the more you press, the more it flows. To stop the water, you need to pull the piston, returning it to the lowest position.

Sink and hose

For a water tap, you can use a hose from a column and an old sink. It is freed from all old fasteners (including nozzles and an exhaust pipe), and a round hose holder is mounted at the top, which is the same size as the drain.

The system works like this:

  • While the hose is in the fastener, it is bent and does not let water through.
  • It is worth straightening the hose and lowering it vertically - water flows.

Washbasin made of utensils

You can make a washbasin from an old teapot, watering can, or other vessel by installing it on a hinge or other mount that allows the spout to drop downward.

In this case, for washing, it is enough to tilt the bowl so that water begins to flow from it. To stop - lift the spout, moving the container to an upright position.

If you use a large watering can, you can make an outdoor shower by this principle. But remember: usually more than 10 liters of water will not fit into a watering can, so you will have to wash sparingly.

Washbasin from a drinker or sippy

The principle of work here is the same: the container is attached at an angle, filled with water - and in order for the water to flow, you need to press on the nipple or outlet tube.

Washbasin made of an old bucket and a nail

A leaky bucket is easiest to use under a washbasin. To do this, you need to take a long nail with a wide head (if the usual one is narrow, you can pierce a piece of cardboard or foil with a nail) and punch a hole with it in the place where the bucket is leaky. After that, the washstand is attached to the post and filled with water. It is enough to press on the nail from below - and water will flow into your hands. To stop pouring, you just need to remove your hand.
