Flame fly bites

Some flies, such as the stinger flies, feed on animal and human blood. They are especially active at the end of summer, closer to the beginning of autumn. These insects are found where cattle live.

During the bite, the fly injects toxic saliva under the victim's skin, which causes severe skin irritation. Some biting flies can lay their eggs under the target's skin, which can cause serious illness.

There is a theory that horseflies and gadflies are attracted to bright clothes, the smell of sweat and artificial smells (perfume or cologne).

Fleas bite both animals and humans. They live where there are many domestic animals such as chickens, rabbits and dogs. Their bites can be recognized by small itchy patches on the skin.   • disinfect damaged skin areas with alcohol, brilliant green or iodine;
  • cool the bite site;
