• It should be borne in mind that the instruction does not allow installing the column directly above the gas stove, but only at a distance of at least 10 cm horizontally. The vertical section of the chimney of the column in small-sized kitchens should be at least 25 cm.

The gas supply pipe must be open

• The distance of the gas meter from the internal combustion source (boiler) must be at least 60 cm along the radius, and from the external combustion source (gas stove) - 80 cm along the radius. Gas pipeline pipes should not be hidden in the floor, ceiling or wall, and when passing through them, the minimum gap between the pipe and the duct is 1 cm.
• Do not forget also about SNiPs when installing electrical equipment with your own hands, for example, the minimum distance to the electrical cable is 0.5 m, and to other devices (shield, socket, switch) - 1 m. It is also necessary to maintain a distance of 0.5 m to other household appliances and 0.2 m to heating pipes. All data are presented according to PB 12-529-03; SNiP 42-101-2003 Russian Federation.

Thanks to the various widths of these wall units (40 cm, 60 cm, 80 cm), you can always arrange their arrangement in such a way that it looks as if the column was installed at the same time as the furniture, and everything was conceived in advance. But still there will be a sore spot - this is a gas meter - it still needs to be hidden somewhere and we will talk about this below.

• When planning the interior of a small kitchen with a gas water heater, you can order or buy ready-made wall cabinets, choosing them so that the gas device is in one of them. Of course, if the installation of gas equipment was made earlier, then it will be much more difficult to make the markup - you will have to vary the width of the cabinets. In any case, once inside the cabinet, the speaker will look like a device to be installed in a built-in installation, which will make the entire interior more compact.
• Sometimes, the gas water heater is closed with a deaf or glass facade, but this hardly makes sense, because an open microwave oven or washing machine, quite normal and acceptable design move. If we take these household appliances as a precedent, then why, in this case, close the column, especially since it should be easily accessible!

The gas meter can be hidden in a cabinet

• When you look at the already equipped, real interiors of kitchens in catalogs or on video demonstrations, you are unlikely to see a gas meter, although you can notice a gas water heater. But do not forget that with the help of corners and couplings, the gas device can always be shifted a few centimeters to the side - you just need to call a representative from the gas service.
