If laconic modernity, pompous classics do not provide conditions for a pleasant stay, quality relaxation, a rustic-style dining room may be the best option.
The priority in this area is comfort. In such an environment, you can easily forget about the bustle of the city, the pressure of urban landscapes, teeming with glass and concrete.
1 - Rustic dining room
This direction has a certain specificity. It requires solid dimensions, high ceilings. A small room may look too gloomy and cluttered.

Typical rustic finishes are:
- walls - plaster, board, stone;
- ceiling - whitewash or painting, construction of wooden beams;
- floor - unpainted wood, stone.
If the use of natural materials is not included in the plans, for the walls, you can choose panels that imitate solid wood boards, tiles "like a stone". The floor is covered with a laminate that repeats the texture of bleached oak, porcelain stoneware. There is no need to purchase a marble, granite finish. For village dwellings, such natural materials are uncharacteristic. Imitation of sandstone, cobblestone is well suited.
2 - Country
The country style makes it possible to recreate the atmosphere of a certain corner of the planet in a rustic dining room design. For this, the design uses colors, materials, decor items characteristic of the area.

There are many different trends in the country direction. You can give preference to the style:
- Russian village;
- American farmhouse;
- Swiss chalet;
- French Provence;
- English country.
These areas have significant differences. There is an opportunity to make a choice, taking into account the specifics of the premises, personal capabilities and preferences. If desired, you can combine styles, choose attractive aspects from them. But such a combination must be done carefully, to exclude disharmony, a sense of chaos.
3 - Rustic style in Russian
In Russia, the peasant's dwelling was a hut, the basis of which was a log house. The beams on the ceilings were not closed; kerosene lamps and cradles for babies were suspended from them. The floors were made from planks, and simple, functional furniture was installed. The stove was an important element of the interior.

Natural materials and their imitation can be used to recreate the cozy, practical atmosphere of a rural Russian house. In the decoration of the walls, a block house is used, repeating the structure of a log frame. You can use imitation of timber, wood-like panels. An artificially aged board and laminate are used as flooring.
