It will be useful to wipe the sofa "insides" with a damp cloth. At the same time, there will be a reason to sort out old things and get rid of those that are no longer needed.
Kitchen furniture
Countertop skirting boards and cupboard plinths are not as reliable in terms of protection from dirt as they seem. During operation, droplets of fat, crumbs, and small debris still penetrate them. If you are already starting a general cleaning, then you should raise the plinths of the baseboards of the countertops and walk under them with a hard sponge moistened with a cleaning agent. In this case, special attention should be paid to the skirting boards adjacent to the sink. Conditions are often created under them for the appearance of fungi. Such places are treated with hydrogen peroxide or vinegar.
Ventilation grills and hoods
During routine cleaning, they rarely get their turn. People just forget about them. But it is on the surface of these gratings that part of the dust pulled through them is retained, which creates favorable conditions for the development of harmful microflora. The grates should be washed, preferably with some kind of dishwashing detergent or stovetop.
Mosquito net
A lot of dust and dirt settles on them, as well as on ventilation grilles, over the year, even sometimes clogging up small cells. If it is possible to remove the nets, then it is better to do this and place them in the bathtub, where to walk over them with a brush with a cleaning agent and a powerful shower jet.
Stuffed Toys
All adults know that such things are excellent dust collectors and need to be washed periodically. But for some reason, few people remember this. New Year's Eve cleaning is a reason to arrange a bath day for all these bears and bunnies by sending them to the washing machine. It will not be superfluous to wash ordinary hard toys.
Guides and seals
They are equipped with doors of refrigerators, washing machines, furniture, windows. Since these elements are equipped with narrow folds and slots, dust and dirt are always collected in them. During routine cleaning, it rarely occurs to anyone to look into the refrigerator or move the doors of the wardrobe. Now you can finally pay attention to them - use a vacuum cleaner, a soft damp sponge or, for example, an old toothbrush. By the way, at the same time, and a reason to wash the refrigerator!
Blankets and pillows
They seem to be well protected from dirt by duvet covers and pillowcases. But it is not so. All of them are literally stuffed with dust mites and microorganisms feeding on small particles of dead human skin. Often it is the products of their vital activity that cause irritation of mucous membranes in people and the occurrence of allergic reactions. It is unlikely to get rid of them completely, but it is quite possible to reduce their population to a minimum by sending pillows, blankets and bedspreads to dry cleaning.
Bath and sink siphons
Although running water passes through them, in most models, a gradual accumulation of dirt occurs, which leads to blockages. Sometimes they happen at the wrong time. To avoid them, periodically pour pipe cleaner into the drain holes. But at the end of the year, just during the New Year's cleaning, you can generally disassemble the siphon and wash it by hand.
Shower Head
Cleaning will not hurt her either, because her nozzles eventually clog plaque. You can use special cleaning agents or prepare a solution of citric acid diluted in water, in which the nozzle is soaked for half an hour, after which it is rinsed with clean water.
Computer mat, keyboard and mouse
Many people use them so often that they forget about the need to wipe them, if the computer monitor does not remind about it - after all, the dust that collects on it harms the quality of the "picture". To wipe them, use special alcohol wipes, and for a more thorough cleaning - cotton swabs and toothpicks.
So that some of the above little things do not slip out of your head again during the New Year's general cleaning, you can immediately make a list of them. This will greatly facilitate cleaning and help optimize the cleaning process.
