Before moving on to the direct solution of the problem, I want to make a small digression. Let's generally figure out what functions are performed by water extraction, if it is winter outside?
Those who live in private houses know that a tap with water outside is a must. This is especially true in the summer, and in winter it often comes in handy. For example, if you need to rinse your hands, wash your car, wash your dog's paws, etc. Carrying buckets of water across the yard is unlikely for anyone to want to.
Naturally, in winter, the water intake freezes. There are several solutions to this problem. The simplest thing is to install an anti-freeze tap.
It works as follows: the shut-off element is in the room, and the valve that regulates the flow is outside. As a result, the water remaining in the pipe does not freeze.
The disadvantage of this option is its high cost. The longer the pipe is, the more expensive it is. Count it yourself, the price tag of this crane starts
from 1200 rubles. Plus the withdrawal to the street and other expenses, and now you need to lay out about 6 - 8 thousand rubles.Fortunately, there are cheaper alternative methods that will be discussed now. I suggest that you familiarize yourself with 3 schemes that allow you to save money and solve the problem.
1.Installation of 2 ball valves
The first one needs to be installed indoors, and the second one should be taken outside. As a rule, polypropylene pipes are laid in the walls, this allows you to prevent a cold bridge.
In this case, you need to make a slight slope into the street. Before starting the water intake, you need to close the tap located on the street, and the one located inside, open it. Then you can use water. In the end, do the opposite - close the internal tap and open the street tap. As a result, the remaining water from the pipe will pour out.
The design can be improved with a heating cable, but this will slightly increase the electricity consumption (about 400 W / h). The cable is installed inside an insulating layer.
2.Extend the stem
The design is very similar to what you can buy on the market today. We install the stem on the street, lengthening it with a hairpin by 6 or 8 millimeters.
3. We use a solenoid valve
The third scheme is somewhat similar to the second, the difference is that we use an electromagnetic valve as a shut-off element. It can be used to shut off the water flow remotely. For these purposes, it is necessary to lay a cable leading to the street power supply.
In any case, when installing a water supply system in winter, you need to slope onto the street. Then, after water procedures, the remaining water will drain from the elements of the water conduit.
