Scab

This fungal infection affects not only the leaf plates, but also the fruits. The disease manifests itself in the form of brownish-green spots. Infected leaves will begin to deform over time, dry out and fall off. And brown spots will appear on the affected fruits.

For the prevention of apple trees are treated three times per season. For the first time, the spraying procedure is carried out in early spring, before the start of sap flow. The treatment is carried out with a solution of Bordeaux liquid (3%) or copper chloride, the drug "Abiga-Peak".

After flowering, the plants are sprayed with a 1% solution of Bordeaux liquid. And after a couple of weeks, you can use chemicals: "Horus", "Skor", "Gamair", etc.

Powdery mildew

This fungal disease affects all parts of the apple tree: a white powdery coating appears on the shoots, leaves, buds and inflorescences. After a while, the plant becomes covered with dark spots.

Powdery mildew can only be eradicated in a radical way. All infected parts of the plant are collected and burned outside the suburban area. The early stage of the disease is treated with a colloidal sulfur solution. To do this, 80 g of the mineral is diluted in 1 bucket of water.

Treating trees with fungicides has a good effect: Topaz, Skor, Raek, Horus, Discor, Tiovit Jet, etc. At the end of the season, apple trees are sprayed with Abiga-Peak, a solution of liquid soap or copper sulfate.

Downy mildew (downy mildew)

The disease begins to manifest itself with the formation of small whitish spots in the form of a powdery coating. Later, the affected areas become dark (gray or purple) in color. Leaf plates, buds and flowers touched by the infection begin to wither, dry out and fall off.

The infection develops rapidly at high humidity (60-80%) and an ambient temperature in the range of 20-29 ° C. For the prevention of apple trees are treated with biological preparations: "Kurzat", "Fitosporin", "Ordan", etc.

A homemade remedy made from milk, wood ash and iodine gives a good effect. For this, the ashes of burnt plant residues are combined with 10-12 drops of 5% iodine. 0.5 kg of ash, brewed with 3 liters of boiling water, is also added there.

Fruit rot (moniliosis)

This fungal infection affects the surface of apples: they become covered with brown specks, which grow in size over time. Then, traces of a fungal infection (spores) appear on the fruits in the form of whitish circles. Damaged apples spoil directly on the tree (rot and mummify).

To eliminate the disease, the plants are treated with preparations containing copper ("Oxyhom", "Abiga-Peak", a solution (3%) of Bordeaux liquid). For each adult plant, at least 2 liters of medicinal products are consumed. During the flowering period and 3-4 weeks before harvesting, trees are treated with biological preparations: "Fitolavin", "Fitosporin-M" or others.

Black cancer

This dangerous disease leads to the death of apple trees: the infection affects all parts of the plant. Brown spots appear on the trunk, fruits, flowers and leaf plates. Gradually, wounds form on the bark of plants, which lead to its death.

To stop the disease, the infected areas are cleaned (cut out) and treated with a solution (5%) of ferrous sulfate. Then the wounds are covered with garden pitch. For prevention, trees are sprayed with Bordeaux liquid (1%) after flowering and at the end of the season.

A healthy apple orchard is a guarantee of high yields and a beautiful place to relax. A timely detected problem is easier to eliminate than to cure a diseased plant.
