Good afternoon, my reader. First of all, you need to identify the distinctive features of the disease, and only after that decide on the method of dealing with the problem.

Signs of the disease
The first stage of the defeat is the appearance of a small brown formation on the apples, which will subsequently increase and cover the entire fruit. The inside of the fruit, the pulp, will also turn brown, after which the apple itself is no longer suitable for human consumption.
After 7-10 days, yellow or white pads are formed on the brown spot, forming concentric circles, they are fungal spores. Warm weather and a high level of air humidity (from 75%), too dense planting of plants contribute to the development of the disease.
The spores of the fungus, provoking the development of the disease, enter the fetus through the wounds on the apples, in addition, they provoke the disease if the affected fruits and branches that have not been removed from the tree have died from rot. To reduce the risk of infection, prune more carefully, cutting off dead branches, and remove diseased fruits from the apple tree.
Wormy apples fallen from the tree serve as the first signal of the development of fruit rot. The longer the crop ripens, the more fruits are affected by fruit rot. If the rotten apple is not destroyed, the fungus will move into the fruit twig along the stalk and infect nearby shoots.
Prevention of fruit rot
To reduce the risk of moniliosis, it is necessary to carry out annual pruning during the spring and autumn seasons. This event provides the shoots with the necessary air and enriches all parts of the crown with light. Having identified the initial stage of fruit rot on fruits or branches, the affected areas are promptly removed.
To prevent apple trees from suffering from moniliosis and other diseases of fruit crops, you need to take care of the tree trunk circle and regularly apply nutrient fertilizers to the soil. Also, during harvesting, avoid damaging the fruit, and if wounds do appear, they must be treated.
Fruit rot treatment
And if all preventive measures are followed, the apple tree can get sick with moniliosis. And if this happens, you need to use effective means, such as fungicides.
In early spring, plants should be sprayed with preparations containing copper (Bordeaux liquid, Oxyhom, Horus). The optimal consumption of the product is 2 liters per apple tree. To achieve the maximum effect, lime is added to the Bordeaux liquid solution in a proportion of 300 g per 10 liters of water.
The next stage of processing is spraying the apple tree with a less concentrated Bordeaux liquid 3-4 days before flowering. A good alternative to this tool would be a 1% suspension of colloidal sulfur or "Fitolavin". If you later see a carrion, this treatment is repeated. The next preventive spraying of the garden is carried out one month before harvest.
In September-October, after the end of fruiting, apple trees are treated with a solution of copper sulfate at the rate of 100 g per 10 liters of water, 2-3 liters per plant. This action will destroy the remains of the infection.
Although in our time varieties resistant to fruit rot have not been bred, there are effective means to combat this disease and prevent it. Varieties less susceptible to moniliosis are Slavyanka, Parmen winter gold, they are less likely to suffer from the disease under study.
