From April 1, 2021, 16 Russian applications will be preinstalled on all smartphones sold in our country. I'll try to figure out if this is good or bad.
On December 31, 2020, the Russian Government issued Order No. 3704-r, which approves the list of Russian applications that will be preinstalled on smartphones and other digital devices.
The following applications will be installed on smartphones:

If you look closely at the title picture, you can see that most of these applications are already installed on my smartphone.
I am using Yandex. Browser "as the main browser (it is really smart and convenient).
One of the functions of the Yandex application is setting up voice commands for controlling a smart home, so it is also installed on my smartphone.
I constantly use the Yandex. Maps ”(now also in order to find out the time of arrival of buses at stops).
Mail.ru Mail is my main mail, I use this application every day.
The Vkontakte application is also installed on my smartphone. All of Russia is there, so they often write to me private messages in the Vkontakte messenger.

The MyOffice application has been installed on my smartphone since 2015 (https://ammo1.livejournal.com/641925.html ). I use it to view Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and PDFs on my phone.
There is a lot of negativity on the net about installing these applications, but I believe that for most Russian users preinstallation is rather a plus than a minus: they may not know about some useful applications, but here everything will already be in the phone initially.
The pre-installation will not affect the prices of smartphones (all of these applications are free and there are no ads).
Pre-installed applications can be uninstalled, so everyone can keep only what they really need.
The preinstallation will help popularize really good applications: mail.ru has an excellent mail an application that can work not only with Mail, but also with mail of other services (including Yandex and Google). Yandex. Maps are better and more convenient than Google maps (especially in Russia).
Perhaps the most underrated app on the list is MyOffice Documents. Not all users know about its existence, and the application is really useful. It is a handy mobile editor combined with a document viewer.
The application supports TXT, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPTX, PDF, XODT, XOTT, DOT, ODT, XODS, XOTS, XLT, ODS files. Texts and tables can be edited.
MyOffice Documents supports Russian, English, Spanish and French. It is possible to import documents from popular cloud services (Google Drive, Yandex Drive, Dropbox). Files can be sent to any messenger or email.
Teamwork is supported - there are comments and a separate review panel, as well as audio comments (today no other text editor in the world has such a function).
The spreadsheet editor supports formulas and is also quite user-friendly.

Now in PlayMarket MyOffice has hundreds of thousands of downloads and after pre-installation the account will go to millions, and this is a plus - many more people will learn about a good and useful application.
The pre-installation of Russian software will affect not only smartphones and tablets. From April 1, all Smart TVs will be preinstalled with Yandex, Wink, IVI, Perviy, Kinopoisk, OKKO, More.tv, Premier, Look, NTV, Start applications.
This also applies to computers and laptops, they will be preinstalled with "MyOffice Standard." Home version ".
What will happen to the iPhone, iPad and Mac is not yet clear. Many assume that Apple would prefer to leave the Russian market in order not to pre-install applications, but taking into account the experience of Japan (for the Japanese market, the iPhone 7 was built additional chip and installed a payment for transport application), it can be assumed that Apple products in Russia from April 1 will be sold with preinstalled Russian programs.
In my opinion, the pre-installation of Russian applications is not at all as scary as many present it, and it has more advantages than disadvantages. Do not be afraid of her.
