Fishing belts are made from common materials that are often considered household waste. In simple terms, such a device is a mechanical barrier for all pests. Belts block the path of beetles climbing the trunk in search of food.

The funnel-shaped belt is a fairly simple but effective device. Insects easily enter such a trap, but cannot crawl back out.
You can make such a device without much difficulty:
- Take a piece of cardboard 15-20 cm and wrap 50-60 cm around the stem of the plant.
- Tie the top of the sheet tightly with a rope, cover with plasticine.
To make a double-sided funnel, take a cardboard strip 30-40 cm. Fix such a product in the middle, for this use a rope or elastic band. Cover the holes with clay to prevent insects from getting out of the trap.
Strengthen the products after the snow cover melts. At the beginning of spring, many parasites wake up in the upper layers of the soil, they crawl out and go in search of food and shelter.
