Growing by John Jevons

Experienced farmer John Jevons created a technology with which he got a good harvest on a small plot of land.

It consists in using anaerobic and aerobic bacteria when planting plants.

For cultivation, Jevons used varieties with high yields. I added microorganisms to the soil together with fertilizing or during the preparation of the soil for planting.

Fruiting indicators of some crops exceeded the norm by several times.

Factors to take into account

He built his methodology based on the following factors:

  1. When planting plants, the climatic features of the region are taken into account.
  2. Plants on the site are placed in a checkerboard pattern. This allows each species to get enough heat, light, moisture and nutrients. Also, the method simplifies the care of crops.

  3. Using mullein not only as fertilizer, but also to combat rot and dew. For this, a special solution is prepared: 2/3 of water and 1/3 of the slurry are mixed, insisted for 7 days. Add hay, whey to the composition and spill a place for planting.

Paths are laid between the beds in the garden. They are easy to navigate and facilitate access to landings. In this case, the width of the beds is no more than 1 m.

Practical application of the Jevons method

To make the Jevons method more successful, proceed as follows:

  1. In the fall, a place for planting is preliminarily prepared. Limestone is introduced into the soil. This is necessary so that the soil is saturated with a sufficient amount of moisture and in the spring the soil becomes loose.
  2. Beneficial bacteria and worms are able to loosen the soil to a depth of 1 m, thus making it more suitable for plants. The soil is saturated with a large amount of oxygen, which is necessary for the root system.
During feeding, some features are taken into account. Alkalis and acids are harmful to microorganisms. They must be excluded from the composition. Organic fertilizers based on compost or mature humus (from leaves) are suitable.

Prepare the solution:

  • microbial solution - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • water - 10 liters.

The solution is purchased from a specialized store. They take rainwater or settled water. The components are mixed and applied at the root of the plant.

Scope of application

The field of application of the method is quite wide. The most common examples are as follows:

  1. Garlic shoots are spilled with a microbial solution. Before the vegetable is fully ripe, it is dug up, dried and removed along with the tops.
  2. Strawberries are planted in the fall. In the spring, as soon as the first flowers appeared on the bushes, they are spilled with the composition. The event is repeated after flowering. This increases the amount of harvest. The fruits are large, red, with high taste.
  3. The potato tubers are cut into several pieces. Each is thrown into a previously prepared planting hole - compost and wood ash are placed at the bottom. Then the planting is buried and spilled with a microbial solution. Potatoes planted using the Jevons method not only give a high yield, but also have immunity to various diseases.

Method of preparation of microbial solution

The drug is purchased at a specialized store. Some gardeners prepare it themselves:

  • serum - 1 l;
  • sour cream - 1 tsp l .;
  • water - 1 l;
  • honey - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • yeast - 10 kg.

Whey and sour cream are mixed in one container. The other contains water and honey. Then all the components are diluted in a bucket of water. Then close with a lid and place in a warm, dark, dry place. Leave for 7 days.

To water the plants, take 1 liter of working solution for 10 liters of water.

Experimenting with plantings and applying modern growing technologies, gardeners achieve an unprecedented harvest, which is distinguished by its abundance, taste and good keeping quality.
