Treatment
There are two ways to treat the garden with iron sulfate.
- spraying;

Spraying
You need to spray garden trees, shrubs and plants 2 times a year. First time in early spring, before green leaves appear on the branches. As soon as the first buds appear on the branches, immediately carry out the treatment. The second time, processing is carried out in the fall, after the harvest has been harvested and the foliage has fallen off.
Spraying is the main method of using ferrous sulfate.
Whitewash
Whitewashing should be done 2 times a year. The first is in the spring, right after the snow melts. Iron vitriol is diluted in an aluminum bucket with warm water. This solution should be used to treat the trunks of all trees in the garden and, if possible, shrubs. The second treatment is carried out in the fall, after harvest.
Working methods
Iron vitriol has a wide spectrum of action. It is important to use this solution correctly, and then it will benefit, not harm, garden plants.
- Garden trees and shrubs should be treated in dry, warm weather. Better in the evening.
- If moss has grown on the tree trunks, there is mold or other fungal diseases, then they should be removed before processing, cleaned with a special device. If the lichens did not fall off in the fall after the treatment, repeat the procedure again. Please note that at least 2 weeks must pass after the first treatment. The moss should dry up and the bark should be clean.
- Seedlings after planting also need to be processed. Only in this case it is necessary to reduce the concentration.
- Vitriol is used not only for treatment, but also for prophylactic purposes. Even if there are no pests in your garden, it is not infected with anything, none of the pests has settled, treat your favorite plants. It won't get any worse.
- Fungicide is also used in the processing of cuts of trunks, cracks and those places where there is no bark.
Precautions
When processing with ferrous sulfate, observe the following safety rules:
- carry out the processing in rubber gloves, a headdress, the eyes must be protected by garden glasses;
- the container in which the solution was diluted, rinse well and leave for ventilation;
- When processing garden plants, make sure that pets do not walk. The remedy is relatively harmful and pets are very curious. Release them from the shelter 10-12 hours after treatment;
- if the solution comes into contact with the skin, rinse the area thoroughly with running water.
