Most stores for submachine guns and submachine guns contain 30 rounds. It is not always the case that the magazine is completely emptied during firing the first time. At the same time, many probably have a question in their heads: how do soldiers count ammunition in such situations. After all, staying with a couple of cartridges in the store before the crucial moment is clearly not the best idea.

Controlling the level of ammunition in the ammunition element is one of the most important skills that every shooter must master. It's worth starting with the fact that, in fact, if you look into the store from above, you will see not the last two cartridges at all, but as many as five! However, visual inspection is not the most effective and not the most popular method for assessing the number of remaining cartridges.

The only exceptions are cases with transparent plastic stores. These are gaining more and more popularity in our time. True, they have one big problem - they are less durable than classic reinforced containers. Also, in each magazine, approximately in the middle of the volume, there is a small hole on the back side, which allows you to see if the ammunition consumption has exceeded the 50% mark.

The surest way to control ammunition was and remains a banal count. The ability to count comes with experience. In most situations, the arrows "unfasten" 3-4 rounds. Thus, the store is enough for 7-10 lines, after which it is changed without hesitation. Very often, in an acute combat situation, stores change after 5-6 turns. They are sent semi-loaded to unload for further replenishment during the first lull that comes out. The most experienced shooters also know how to more or less accurately determine the number of remaining cartridges by the weight of the ammunition supply.

Finally, in most cases, magazines are charged according to the "every third - tracer" principle. The tracer round is always clearly visible. That is why shops like to equip by laying every 3 or 5 slot with a tracer cartridge. Thus, while firing, the fighter can easily track the state of affairs with ammunition.
