The method is so simple that it’s even incomprehensible why my parents didn’t use it before. I remember how the lights were often turned off as a child. And we lit the apartment with candles, which very quickly turned into cinders and had to be changed. But we could have limited ourselves to one - maximum two candles.
By the way, the method described below allows you to save on heating greenhouses, greenhouses, etc. Wherever a heat source is needed, a candle comes in handy. How to make an "ever-burning" candle?
We take the most ordinary candle. I had a thick regular one at hand, so I used it. It doesn't matter which candle to use, be it thick or thin. But I note that the thick one will burn a little longer.
Next, we select a suitable iron jar. I took from under the canned beans. We put a candle in the container. To keep it, you need to drop a little liquid paraffin on the bottom. Then we fill the candle with the most ordinary vegetable oil so that it reaches the wick.
How long will the candle burn?
I put the structure with a candle outside, the air temperature was then below 0.
After 7 hours, the oil level remained almost at the same level as it was, and the candle wick continued to burn.
A small 100ml cup is enough to light up your tent all night. I hope you understand that the larger the container with oil, the longer the candle will burn.
