Hello dear friends and guests of the channel!
Surely many of you use disposable plastic containers to some extent. You put something in them or buy something packed in these containers. So, if you didn’t know, then containers with plastic No. 6 can be perfectly used in crafts.
This is what this plastic looks like.
So, for making crafts you will need:
1. The containers themselves;
2. Marker, scissors, computer;
3. Oven.
I draw your attention to the fact that a microwave oven will not work, only an oven or a hair dryer!
On the Internet, you can find sets of such plastic and paint. If my memory serves me, then this plastic is called "Plastic for baking" something like that. And such sets are not small. And here is almost free material for creativity.
Step 1.
From the container, I cut out more or less even parts, without bends and edges. But, you can also use uneven areas, they will straighten when heated.
Step 2.
Attaching a piece of plastic to the monitor or tablet, we translate the picture you like with a permanent marker.
Then I colored the pictures a little and cut them out.
Step 3.
Now for the most interesting but dangerous moment. Be very careful not to burn your hands when using an open oven.
The oven needs to be preheated to 150 - 170 degrees for 7-10 minutes. If the plastic shrinks very slowly under a temperature of 150, then feel free to expose a little more.
Next, place parchment paper or foil on a preheated baking sheet and lay the cut out figures. Slide in the baking sheet and close the oven.
After about 7-10 seconds, the plastic will begin to shrink, bend, and shrink. The figures will be greatly reduced in size, but will increase in thickness, up to about 2 mm.
Do not be afraid that plastic gives off some kind of poisonous gases, this happens if you heat the plastic above 200 degrees!
Here is a small video fragment of how plastic melts:
These are the figures that turned out.
Having put the needle over the candles, or you can drill it, I made a hole and put it on the ring, as a key ring. In general, if you apply imagination, then you can find many uses for this plastic.
