Culture has grown and creates shadow

Sometimes it happens like this - right by the house under the window, a tree has grown quite strongly. Then the room is completely dark, although the weather outside is wonderful and sunny. And even sometimes you have to turn on the lights in the rooms in the daytime.

The tree is very old

Complete destruction of the crown and trunk of the tree sets in, and vital activity is preserved only on the root collar. Most of the fruit trees have been grown by grafting, and the growth near the root belongs to the stock. All methods of rejuvenating such a culture will be unsuccessful; it should be removed from the garden.

The plant has stopped bearing fruit after an incorrect pruning procedure.

From an illiterate and incorrectly carried out pruning, a too thick crown of a culture is most often formed. As a result, by the end of the growing season, the young growth does not have time to mature, but continues to grow, the level of winter hardiness in such wood decreases, and the shoots die.

High groundwater level

Fruit trees are often killed by high water tables. If the site is located in a lowland, even drainage does not help bring the level back to normal. Here you can often observe the following picture: until the culture is fully grown, and the root system does not reach the water, the tree is developing well. However, after a certain time, the roots will be able to penetrate deeper, and as soon as they reach the liquid level, they immediately feel a lack of air. In this regard, the root system partially dies and in springtime cannot fully feed the green foliage of the plant. And, naturally, under such conditions, the tree eventually dies.

Freezing of the root system and crown of the plant

For this reason, garden trees die much more often than from a high location of groundwater. And in most cases they are damaged not from frost, but mainly from unexpected temperature changes that are present in our climate. In this case, the first step is to determine the level of damage to the tree. To do this, it is necessary to make minor cuts on the root system or on the branches along and across the fibers in order to better see the color of the wood. If the shade of the shoots is dark brown, most likely the tissues are dead.

In the case of fabrics of brown color, we can talk about slight frost penetration. Sometimes it is very difficult to immediately determine the extent of the damage. Then take small shoots from the plant and place them in a container of water, and then put them in a warm room, cover with cellophane, after about a week, check the condition of the branches. The buds could not form, which means the branches are damaged. If the level of damage to the fruit tree is high, or if this problem occurs annually, the plant should be removed.

Do not be discouraged if you have to uproot a tree, quickly plant a young tree in its place, and soon it will delight you with its fruits.
