A grandiose renovation of the country well was carried out today. I thought that it would be interesting for you to look at the process, and at the same time criticize everything. :)
My well was dug 11 or 12 years ago. It consists of only four rings (three underground). When they were digging it, I bought five rings for a start, but already on the fourth I started to fill a spring.
During all this time, the well was never cleaned and half of the lower ring was clogged with clay, but this is not the main problem. The main problem was that the two upper rings moved to the side a few years ago and moved further and further: the displacement was already twenty centimeters.
Because of this, groundwater fell into the well, and with it frog eggs, so I had to regularly catch frogs from the well and save them.
In order to move the upper rings, the well was dug around.
We dug to the bottom of the second ring and even a little deeper.
To my surprise, the shifting process took place as follows: a worker climbed into the well and simply resting his feet on one ring, and with his back on the other, moved the upper rings.
To prevent the rings from sliding off again, they were fastened with staples: three staples for each joint of the rings.
In the previous photo, the bracket can be seen at the top of the frame, but three brackets are already installed and are drilling holes for the fourth.
To clean the well, a temporary winch was assembled above it, with the help of which they lifted heavy buckets with dirty slurry.
They drew out ten buckets and threw them away - they said that there is quicksand below and it is useless to scoop up - it immediately replaces the scooped out.
The joints and staples were covered with a mixture of cement and liquid glass.
Around the well, a "castle" was made of earth and sand (an elevation that prevents rain and melt water).
It turned out like this.
And this is how the well looks now inside.
For all the work they took from me, sadly, 15,000 rubles (they all wanted 20, but managed to bargain).
The well fills up very quickly: in an hour or two, the water reaches the second ring. Today, after the masters left, I have already completely pumped out the well twice, tomorrow I will pump it out a couple more times.
I don't know how correctly everything was done, but the main problem (the displacement of the two rings) was solved, I hope there will be no frogs in the well now.
