The dacha is great for hand-made experiments. The resulting gizmos can be used to decorate a country house or garden.
How to transform a summer cottage space with your own hands, the designer said Asia Orlova.
9. Glass jars as suspensions
Old glass jars and bottles can be easily turned into unusual suspensions using wire and twine. Glass can be painted, decorated with wildflowers, and if the neck is wide, you can put a candle inside.
You can also use a Christmas tree garland with diode spotlights as garden lighting. It is better to place individual points of light or groups of them in multi-colored glass jars. Such lighting will add a special ambiance to the summer cottage garden in the evening.
8. Lamps from the service
It will be more difficult to make a chandelier from ceramic cups. It is necessary to make a hole in the dish with a drill and thread the cartridge into it. The main difficulty is not to break the cup during drilling.
Experienced craftsmen add a saucer to the cup. You can use dishes of various shapes and colors and combine them as you like.
7. Pot from cans
An old kettle or cans can replace a flower pot. Cover the container with earth and plant flowers there. To make these pots look neat, they can be painted in solid colors. Also, banks can be fixed on the wall of a country house.
However, such pots can get very hot in the sun, so it is imperative to fill the bottom with fine gravel so that when watering the soil is properly moistened.
6. Shelving of drawers
Wooden boxes for fruit and especially for wine can be used in the manufacture of shelving. It is assembled just like a constructor. The size and shape can be anything. Some decorate walls and even ceilings with such boxes.
It looks unusual, and, besides, this technique is quite functional - there will always be garden utensils or old books that will be convenient to place on such a shelf. They can also be painted in different colors.
5. Garden bike
Decorated old bicycles can often be found in front of a cafe or restaurant. At a summer cottage, such a solution will look no less attractive.
The bike itself can be painted and the luggage baskets can be filled with flowers or seedlings.
4. Chandelier as a hanging planter
Hanging pots do not lose their popularity. The beauty is that they take up almost no space. At the dacha, an unusual planter can be made from an old chandelier.
You will need to remove the wiring and lampshades, and instead glue saucers and pots. The finished product can be painted.
3. Books made of bricks
This idea will appeal to book lovers who are not averse to picking up brushes and paints. It came to mind for humorist artist Daryl Fitzgerald, who presented an art project called Literature Heavyweights. He used to decorate ordinary bricks for book covers.
You can come up with your own pieces. Such decor will definitely not go unnoticed. You can also leave gaps in the brickwork and put small candles in the resulting niches along the entire plane of the wall, and then it will turn into one large candlestick.
2. Cutlery candlestick
An unnecessary ladle can be used as a candlestick. To do this, you just need to fix it on the board with a glue gun and hang it on the wall.
A metal funnel can be an alternative to a scoop. In this case, the candle must be inserted into a narrow hole.
1. Panel of cutlery and dishes
Cutlery - forks, spoons, and others - can be used as a constructor to compose entire wall panels. Coffee and tea cups can be woven into the same pattern.
