Furniture from Avito and AliExpress: how a blogger remade his “killed” kopeck piece 53 m²: before and after photos

Blogger Ekaterina Permyakova designed a 53 m² euro-apartment for herself and her husband. They approached the purchase of an apartment deliberately. The choice fell on a stalinka with high ceilings and six windows. Design ideas were taken from Pinterest and various interior design blogs.

Planning before and after

The interior was created based on Scandi and mid-century styles. The budget for the renovation was small - it was possible to save money thanks to furniture from Avito and IKEA, and the facades for the kitchen were purchased in Leroy Merlin.
The redevelopment concerned only the partition between the living room and the kitchen; it was dismantled to unite the space.

Living room

The living area is quite spacious. The walls were decorated with gray paint and wallpaper with a geometric pattern. A bright blue corner sofa in velvet upholstery was set up along one wall, and the opposite was taken under the TV area. The TV cabinet was found on Avito. A bright accent was a bookcase with glass doors from IKEA and a lint-free carpet on the floor.

Kitchen

The kitchen set was positioned L-shaped. They refused from wall cabinets, confined themselves to an open shelf made of solid pine. The tabletop was extended and brought to the windowsill. One of the walls was painted with slate paint, which created an unusual accent.

The dining area was set up at a ledge in the wall. A dining table separates the kitchen from the living room. It was purchased at Avito for 1000 rubles and restored.

Bedroom

On the walls in the bedroom, they combined gray-blue paint and wallpaper with plant motifs. The cabinet from IKEA was painted in the color of the walls to visually "dissolve" in space. It serves as the main storage system.

Hallway

The hallway was first painted gray, but then they decided to add colors and used paint in a deep blue hue. Family photos and posters were used as decor.

Bathroom

In the repair of the bathroom, they improvised - they repainted the old tiles on the walls, and the self-adhesive PVC tiles on the floor were placed directly on top of the previous one. The upper part of the walls and the ceiling were painted blue-gray. A similar color was chosen for the radiator. The old bath was restored. The black faucet was ordered on AliExpress.
