I often don't want to invest in the arrangement of a country house, because buying new furniture will not be cheap. We recommend making it yourself!
How to furnish a house and territory with the help of materials at hand, the designer said Elena Tsareva.
9. Pallets
The idea of pallet furniture is no longer new, but it is still the simplest solution for a country house, especially if the interior contains other elements of the loft style. To protect the wood from moisture, it is better to sand it and coat it with a protective impregnation.
Pallets can also be painted to give them a more presentable look. For assembly, you only need a screwdriver. These pallets make bed bases and coffee tables well.
8. Hammock
Even a beginner can handle the creation of a hanging hammock. You will need a piece of thick fabric, eyelets and a cord. It would be nice to saturate the hammock with a water-repellent agent - this way it will last longer and not deteriorate from the rain.
To make the hammock more stable, you can use wooden slats. You can hang the finished product between two trees or on the veranda. A hammock is a great place to relax between gardening work.
7. Wine barrels
If you have one or a couple of wine barrels lying around, it is easy to find a use for them. The keg can be covered with a countertop to create a dining table, or sawed up and used to create unusual sideboards.
Wood and metal hoops will add a touch of a loft to the country interior. If you add shelves inside the barrel halves, you get an original storage for wine and glasses or a bedside table.
6. Metal barrels
Craftsmen have long been using metal barrels in the manufacture of furniture. They are used to make tables, stools, armchairs, sofas, sections for children's toys and even exhibition stands.
However, if the right equipment is not at hand, the best solution would be a cabinet with an overhead tabletop. The barrel body can be painted or painted.
5. Car tires
From car tires, you can build not only the usual swans. The most successful solution would be a pouf.
To make it, you need to close the busbar holes with plywood, and wrap the resulting structure with a jute rope. The finished product can be put on its legs. It will not resemble the old tire in any way.
4. Cable reels
Wooden cable spools make great rocking chairs. But to create them you need a router. Therefore, it is much easier to convert the coil into a table.
You can decorate it at your discretion. The easiest option is to impregnate the wood and paint it, you can also wrap the support with twine.
3. Suitcase
An old suitcase is a versatile item. It is suitable for creating many pieces of furniture.
For example, benches with a soft base made of board and foam rubber, a small table with legs, a bedside table and just a decorative object in the living room area for storing newspapers and magazines.
2. Hemp
Simple stumps can be turned into graceful stools with a little creativity. First of all, they have to be trimmed in order to avoid the appearance of splinters, and then supplemented with a soft seat made of foam rubber and fabric.
If you cut the stump into thin slices, you get an original decor on the wall. Cuts can also be used to create coffee tables or stands for flower pots.
1. Swing made of boards
Old boards are good for making a swing. You can leave one seat or provide a backrest.
The main thing is strong and thick ropes. You can hang the finished swing on the terrace or even in the house - on the beams.
