Site preparation and rack installation

The area under construction must be cleaned of debris and well leveled. Make sure that there is no vegetation on the construction site, as it can damage the roof.
Next, points are set for the main supports. Pegs are driven in and the geometry is checked for correctness. For this, the diagonals are measured. They must be the same length.
The gaps between the individual racks must be made with minimal construction material costs. The profile pipe is made 6 m long. Therefore, the width of the purlin should be 2, 3 or 6 m. So when cutting the professional pipe, there will be no residues.
For the installation of racks, pits are prepared: they are dug or drilled. In this case, the depth is maintained at least 1 meter. Pipes are installed in them and poured with concrete. During pouring, it is advisable to raise and immediately lower the racks so that the solution gets inside.
Pipes are installed on a plumb line. After that, they are left for 2-3 days to solidify completely.
Assembly instructions
It is better to carry out preparation during the installation of the structure on the ground. Preparatory work includes the following:
- cutting and preparation of professional pipes;
- production of side trusses by welding;
- connection of front profiles;
- installation of braces.
After assembling one farm, it is used as a template to create a second. This is necessary so that the farms are absolutely identical.
An anticorrosive compound is applied to all pipes, then painted. After that, the structure is lifted with a crane and fixed by welding. If the paint layer is damaged, it must be restored.
If there is no welding machine, then the entire assembly is carried out using bolts. All holes after drilling are also treated with an anti-corrosion compound.
In the case of using a profile with a cross section of up to 20 mm, crab systems can be used for fastening individual parts. The main disadvantage of such clamps is that they cannot be used to make curly lattices for trusses. All parts should be connected at a 90 degree angle.
If there is no crane, then the canopy is made at the top:
- horizontal guides are attached to the supports, on which the future crate will hold;
- pipes are placed in parallel at a distance of about 40 cm;
- fix them with welding or bolts;
- covered with the selected roofing material.
If corrugated board was used for the manufacture of a canopy, then it is laid in the extreme gutter, so the consumption of self-tapping screws is small. When installing overlapped polycarbonate, the consumption of fastening material will be significantly higher. It is necessary to use self-tapping screws with press washers.
Installation of a canopy from a profile pipe is available even to people who are not prepared in construction. In addition, its construction will not require large investments. But such protection from bad weather will always help out the owner of the personal plot.
