Hello friends, what the technique has come to. Now even Vodokanal is engaged in drilling the land. Only he does this not for the search and extraction of minerals, but for pulling water supply pipes. I wondered how they do it.
I asked to have a look and film the whole process. Satisfy your curiosity and at the same time tell your dear subscribers how this interesting action goes.
First of all, we will get acquainted with the installation, here in this trailer (photo above) there are controls, hydraulic boom with a torque of up to 8 tons for pushing drill pipes (BT), as well as pulling them, but with a pipe water supply. Hydraulic power take-off for transmission of BT rotation.
Inside the ZIL-130 cab there is a diesel power plant that drives a hydraulic motor, which pumps fluid through hoses to the drilling rig (trailer). Also inside the body there is a container and a mixing unit for mixing and pumping bentonite-based drilling fluid (they say an expensive thing). The finished fluid is also supplied through high-pressure hoses to the drilling site.
In addition, it also transports the drill pipes themselves with tapered threads:
In order to get to work, an excavator makes a trench near the well where it is necessary to make connection, to the required depth, in it later the drill pipe will come out and it will initially be directed to required horizon.
While the process of soil removal is in progress, the drilling rig is "anchored" and installed "tightly" so that the trailer does not move while the pipes are being fed.
Further, expensive, navigational equipment is prepared: Below in the photo is a drill head, the specialists call it "pilot". Inside it is a special probe that transmits information about its presence in space through the thickness of the earth. And the receiver (yellow) reads this information.
The information on the display gives the technician a complete understanding of the location of the beginning of the pipe.
The process has begun, a "pilot" is being pushed into a small pit at a slight angle.
When the "pilot" contacts the ground, rotation is applied to the drill pipes to "break" the ground. Naturally, the carbide tip will heat up from the drilling process. In order to protect the tool from rapid damage, reduce the temperature on the equipment, facilitate drilling mud (bentonite) is supplied under high pressure to seal the walls of the well. "slaughter".
The soil is "pierced" to the dug trench.
Directing the pilot horizontally, below the freezing depth (1.70), drilling begins, rotation is started with drilling fluid under pressure.
The foreman walks on the ground and controls the position of the drill pipes. Using the device. The display shows a depth of penetration of 1.87. If, in the process of drilling, the "column" suddenly begins to move from a given course, and this happens due to the column hitting stones, construction debris, then the rotation of the pipes stops. In the photo below you can see the "pilot". If it's underground rotate and push it goes straight.
And if stop spinning, and just push "pilot", due to the paddle, he will change the angle of the drill pipes. On a portable device, the master sees the whole situation.
As soon as the pipe has returned to its predetermined position, the master on the walkie-talkie sends the command to the specialist at the rig, to resume drilling and continue to build up the "drill"
Having reached the previously prepared trench, the pipe exits into it at the required height.
Next, the blade is removed, the adapter is screwed to the pilot.
A tip is installed in advance on a drawn pipe with a diameter of 40 mm.
Retreat: If the pipe to be laid was of a larger diameter, then an expander must be mounted on the end of the drill.
Having picked up the water supply pipe to the drill pipes, they carry out the process of laying the pipeline, pre-straighten it so that there is no involuntary hook on the building and structures.
Rig operator pulls the pipeline while screwing on the drill.
Next, it remains to bring the HDPE pipe into the well, connect it to the existing water supply system. Perform the same manipulations in the house.
After that, the drilling rig is assembled into the transport position. This is where the work ends. Drill Rig Operation Video here.
