Several types of the most unusual and beautiful violets

Taking as a basis the usual classic violet with blue flowers, breeders have managed to bring out many unusual varieties that differ in a diverse range of colors and shapes.

All plants can be divided into groups:

  1. Variegated. They differ in bright and unusual shades of leaves.
  2. Collectible. Unusual whimsical crops with lush flowers, the diameter of which is 5-7 cm.
  3. Industrial. Common, unpretentious Saintpaulias, cultivated in large quantities using a special technology. They can be used in interior decoration.

  1. Currant dessert. The most common and popular Saintpaulia, it has semi-double inflorescences in the form of stars, the color of which is deep purple. A thin wavy border of a dark tone is noticeable along the edges of the pointed petals, resembling currant jam in its appearance.
  2. Winter rose. Culture with small drooping leaves of a dark green hue. The inflorescences are terry, their appearance resembles a rose, violet-blue in color, along the edges with a thin white edging.
  1. The bride's bouquet. Culture looks like a bridal bouquet. The snow-white flowers have wavy petals.
  2. Chimera. This variety was obtained by crossing two varieties and random mutation. The petal has a radial stripe in a contrasting shade. The striped flowers have a variety of colors. On some chimeras, there are stripes on the leaf plates.
  3. Snow lace. Violet variety with the usual pale green leaves. Lush and long flowering. The flowers are large, double, the petals are corrugated in a snow-white shade, in the middle there are blurred blotches with a green edging.
  4. Georgia. A plant with large double inflorescences, the color of which is pinkish with a delicate lilac dusting from small dots. The petals are wavy with corrugated edging along the edges, the colors range from yellowish-golden to light green.
  5. Magdalene. A well-known plant with rich pinkish lush spherical inflorescences, composed of a large number of wavy petals. The flowers grow densely, which makes them look like a bouquet.
  6. Marquis. A magnificent and exclusive flower with dark green leaves and petals with dark lilac edging and a thin snow-white line around the edges.
  7. A gift for a loved one. A culture with spectacular slightly pointed leaves with a wide creamy edging around the edges. Inflorescences of deep blue color along the edges with a reddish border.
  8. Amadeus. The flower has a loose large rosette, made up of large leaves. The inflorescences are huge, terry red in color with a whitish central part and a corrugated snow-white edging along the edges.
  9. Villlodone. The flower is large enough, at the outlet, the diameter reaches 40-45 cm. The leaves are slightly wavy, covered with pinkish and white spots on top. The flowers are ordinary, along the edges of the petals there is a greenish edging.
  10. Rosemary. Luxurious culture with huge terry inflorescences of tricolor colors. The petals are beautiful coral pink with wavy white edging, decorated with a bright blue pattern. The leaves are deep green with denticles at the edges.
