Clay is sold in bricks, and air is sold in a ceramic block! Isn't it a paradox?

Good afternoon, dear guests and subscribers of my channel!

Marketing moves surround us everywhere and one of them is warm ceramics. With the naked eye, you can see that the volume of the ceramic block is recruited more from the air than from the ceramics. Let's figure it out ...

In fact, I have been to a factory for the production of both large-format porous blocks and bricks and I'll tell you honestly - the production of large-format blocks is more profitable and easier than the production of bricks.

Everything is logical here and you don't have to go far. Having processed the same amount of clay, we will get different amounts of building materials. I took the common versions of both products and their technical characteristics are as follows:

The NF format is a unified format by which wall materials are measured. 1 NF is a volume that is enclosed in the dimensions of a standard brick 250x120x65.

So, the weight of the clay in the block presented above is 20.6 kg, which means that the manufacturer can make 20.6 / 3.6 = 5.7 pieces from the same clay. bricks.

Let's see what is more profitable to sell to us - consumers by processing the same amount of clay:

A) Block for 148 rubles.

or

B) 5.7 pcs. bricks for 48 rubles. (48 = 5.7x8.5 rubles) ???

Of course it is more profitable to sell A) Block, because in this case we will gain 100 rubles more. Therefore, trading in bricks is no longer profitable and it slowly dies.

In reality, the conveyor capacity during block production is lower. Even if the machines have undergone modifications and improvements, the more expensive steel components, but still wear and tear parts are lower and the path of the conveyor belt is shorter due to the transportation of more material per unit time.

But the process of firing clay has not changed in any way, no one has invented anything new, and a large format is always easier to mold than a small one.

How many bricks can I buy for the price of one block, i.e. for 148 rubles?

148: 8.5 = 17.4 bricks. And the block has a smaller volume and one block includes only 12.3 bricks, so the buyer of the block loses in money. But, the work on laying the block will be cheaper than laying bricks and the cost depends on the region. For example, in our Rostov region, laying a backbone brick costs 10 rubles per piece, and for a block - 100 rubles.

If we sum up the total for the price together with the masonry, we get:

Brick is cheaper and now many brick factories can ship it even at a better price. Therefore, most people still buy bricks from us as a backfill, since its cost, together with the work, is lower. But, the statistics are such that the ceramic block is replacing the old proven building materials, here they play the key role is strong marketing moves such as: the house becomes lighter, better heat saving, faster speed construction, etc.

Yes, indeed these are pluses and you cannot argue with them, but gentlemen, manufacturers! Have a conscience! If the production of a ceramic block is much more profitable than a brick - less clay and more air, then why inflate the price for a block? It should be much cheaper than a brick!

But now everything is the other way around and it turns out a paradox: clay is sold in a brick, and air is sold in a ceramic block!

A little more and this time-tested building material called BRICK will become a thing of the past, so while it is there, let's build from it!
