Autumn fertilizers are essential for plants. They help crops survive in adverse weather conditions. Gardeners should know what kind of fertilizers should be applied on the site in the fall.
Autumn dressings for the garden
Fertilizing the soil in the fall is simply necessary, since it is at this time that the plants are trying to accumulate useful substances that help to survive in winter frosts.
These important elements include potassium and phosphorus, which contribute to the development of the root system and increase resistance to disease and cold.
Fertilizing berry bushes
Phosphate fertilizers include superphosphate. To process one berry bush, you will need 1-2 tbsp. l. substances. Fertilizer can be scattered in the trunk circle and embedded to a depth of about 8-10 cm.
From potash fertilizers in the autumn period, you can use both sulfate and potassium chloride in a proportion of 15-20 g / 1 m².
The processing time for berry bushes is different, for example, for currants, feeding is carried out after September 20, for gooseberries - in the last days of September, and raspberries are processed in October.
Organics can be used interspersed with mineral fertilizers. So, for example, humus (8-15 kg) and potassium sulfate (40 g) can be added under the gooseberry.
When feeding currant and raspberry bushes, humus (10-15 kg) is mixed with superphosphate (60 g) and potassium salt (60 g) and added under each shrub.
Chicken droppings work well for berry bushes. It is added before digging in a ratio of 0.8 kg / 1 sq. m, only the interaction of fertilizer with the root system of plants should not be allowed. You can use watering the row spacing with chicken droppings diluted in liquid (1:15).
From organic matter, wood ash is suitable for feeding. It can be applied no more than once every 3-4 years.
Fertilizers for fruit crops
Double superphosphate in a proportion of 30 g / 1 sq. m around the plant is used to feed apple and pear. Every year at the beginning of autumn, potassium sulfate should be applied at the rate of 30 g / 1 sq. m or diluted in liquid (10 l) potassium monophosphate in an amount of 10-15 g. Processing is carried out at the rate of 10 liters of composition / 1 sq. m.
When feeding plums, cherries and apricots, use the same dosage. To normalize the acidity of the soil, it is useful to add lime once every 5 years (300 g / 1 sq. m).
From organic matter for fruit trees, fertilizing with humus is suitable.
Fertilizers for conifers
Conifers should be fed "Florovit", "Fertika", designed specifically for such crops. Scatter pellets around trees and bushes.
Feeding for strawberries
Treatments are carried out from September to October. For treatments, organic matter is used, for example, a solution of poultry droppings diluted in water 1:20. The tincture should stand, and after 2-4 days it can be applied by watering in the grooves between the bushes.
You can use mullein diluted in water 1:10, or slurry (1:10), infused for 2 days. Poured under a bush no more than 1 liter.
Top dressing for roses
In the autumn, the bushes can be fed twice. Top dressing can be root and foliar.
When feeding under the root, you can use complex autumn fertilizer or make the composition yourself. To do this, take potassium monophosphate (16 g) and superphosphate (15 g), dilute in liquid (10 l). This volume is used to feed plants on the territory of 4-5 sq. m.
The following solution is well suited for treating roses: potassium sulfate (10 g), superphosphate (25 g), boric acid (2.5 g) and water (10 l).
Foliar top dressing can be done with ash (200 g / 10 l of water). For autumn spraying, potassium monophosphate (5 g) and superphosphate (5 g) are used, diluted in a bucket of water.
Fertilizers for lilies
The use of phosphorus and potassium will increase the cold hardiness of the bulbs. In the fall, use a solution consisting of potassium magnesium (1.5 tbsp. l.), superphosphate (2 tablespoons simple and 1 tablespoon double) and a bucket of water. This solution can be poured over 1 sq. m landings.
Fertilizers for lawns
Gardeners prefer to use bone meal (two to three glasses / 1 sq. m) or superphosphate in the amount of 50 g per 1 sq. m.
As a complex fertilizer "Fertika for a lawn autumn" is suitable. The time of application to the soil is the end of summer or the beginning of autumn.
Ash powder can be scattered over the lawn in autumn.
Top dressing for the garden
The released soil must be fertilized in the fall, and without fear of burning the roots of crops.
Organics for the garden
Every 3-4 years, rotted manure or humus is added to the soil for digging in a proportion of 3-4 kg / 1 sq. m.
You can apply chicken manure (2 kg of fertilizer / 1 sq. m). Ash is used for feeding.
Use of siderates
Siderata are sown at the end of the harvest, then mowed and embedded in the ground. These include: alfalfa, clover, sweet clover, marigold, phacelia, millet, oats.
The use of mineral fertilizers in the garden
For feeding the garden soil, such autumn fertilizers have proven themselves well:
- superphosphate;
- potassium chloride;
- potassium sulfate.
When applying fertilizers, it is necessary to correctly calculate the dosage and follow the instructions.
