Once I got tired of digging tulips every year for the winter, and I found a good and rather unusual variety of botanical (wild) tulips.

More about these colors

These plants are unpretentious, stunted, and most importantly, they are resistant to parasites and diseases. They are smaller than the usual tulip varieties, but they are just as bright, absolutely not capricious and begin to bloom very early. Having planted it once in the fall, I forgot for 5 years what it is to dig, dry and store the bulbs in the winter.

There are many varieties of botanical tulips, they differ in shape, color and stem height. Next, I want to list some varieties that are most resistant to bad weather conditions:

  • Foster's tulip is a tall plant species, up to half a meter in height.
  • Tulip Kaufman - begins to bloom earlier than others - early April.
  • Greig's tulip - speckled foliage, large flowers.
  • instagram viewer
  • Altai - the flowers are bright, the foliage is gray, lowered.
  • Pointed - has strange narrow flowers.

This list also includes: superior, late (or hairy-calyx), Karabakh, Ili, forest, Turkestan, tulip of Osh, Biberstein, Gesner, Kolpakovsky, Batalin.

For myself, I singled out several unpretentious varieties that seemed to me the best due to their beauty.
