Years of searching were crowned with success. I did find the perfect pump for a shallow well. Not very large, not very heavy, with optimal power and performance. Moreover, it is fully automatic with a built-in pressure switch and a non-return valve. And on top of that, it's not very expensive.

I found the perfect well pump!

There are many centrifugal drainage pumps on the market that do not create significant pressure and are not suitable for water supply. There are well pumps (thin, long and heavy). There are many vibration pumps - analogs of the "Kid" (loudly buzzing, vibrating, and having a small capacity). But with well pumps, some kind of trouble - there are almost none.

An ideal well pump should be centrifugal, but not with one circuit, like a drain, but with two or three, due to which sufficient pressure is created (from two bar) for use in the water supply system.

Quite by accident, I discovered that such pumps are on sale, but they are called rather unexpectedly: "pump for watering from a barrel ", while the instructions say that such a pump can be used in wells, but few people are talking about it knows. As a rule, such pumps come with a tube with a bend to hang the pump on the edge of the barrel, but it can also be removed.

Barrel pumps have a higher pressure than drainers (lifting height 9-23 meters, which corresponds to a pressure of 0.9 - 2.3 bar), but not all of them have enough pressure for water supply systems.

I found the right pumps from the world's most famous gardening brand, Gardena. Gardena has two basic barrel pump models suitable for the well - 4000/2 and 4700/2 (the two after the slash means two circuits), they have a power of 500 and 550 W, a productivity of 4000 and 4700 liters per hour, respectively, and create a pressure of 2 and 2.3 bar.

Each of the models comes with the "automatic" prefix, in this case a pressure switch and a check valve are built into the pump, and there is no float on the wire. There are also models without a hook-pipe included. The cheapest 4000/2 costs about 4000 rubles, 4700/2 about 5500, 4700/2 auto about 8000 rubles.

There are also more powerful pumps 5500/3, 5900/4, 6100/5 with three, four and five circuits, but they are expensive, powerful and redundant for a shallow well.

At first I wanted to take a small 4000/2 (by the way, it is important not to confuse it - there are also 4000/1 with one circuit and low pressure, for water supply they are not suitable), but I found a lot of negative reviews - the pump in people stops turning on and it turned out to be unrepairable (plastic case glued). I ordered 4700/2 for 5350 rubles, but then decided not to be greedy, canceled the order and took 4700/2 automatic for 7650 rubles.

The pump has an outlet pipe 1 ".

Removable filter at the bottom.

I connected the hose, lower it into the well, carry out a test run. :)

The pressure from the porch tap is excellent.

The pressure from the tap in the kitchen is quite sufficient (before this tap, 10 meters of HDPE pipe 25 mm goes from the well, then 11 meters of HDPE 20 mm, then a meter of 16 mm metal-plastic and a storage water heater, as well as all kinds of connectors, taps, a check valve boiler).

There is nothing between the pump and the pipeline (no accumulator tank, no automation, no filter). The pump does everything by itself: it turns on when the tap opens, and turns off a few seconds after the tap is closed. However, the accumulator can be installed if desired - the pump will automatically work with it.

I hope that I have completely solved the problem of water supply to the summer cottage with the help of this pump.

We will have to try not to forget to repeat this post in the spring, otherwise now, of course, is not the season, and by the spring everyone will forget about it. :)
