During decomposition, these compounds saturate the soil with nutrients that plants need.
Mineral dressing
They are distinguished by their ease of use and high results. They contain all the beneficial nutrients necessary for plants. I use mineral fertilizers such as:
- nitrogen;
- phosphorus;
- potassium;
- nitrophosphate.

To grow cabbage green mass, it is necessary to use both organic and mineral fertilizers. They can be applied under the root or on the leaves. The first feeding is carried out a few weeks after planting. The next one is entered three weeks after the first one. In just one season, I fertilize cabbage 3 to 4 times.
Fertilizers for cabbage in the fall
Used three weeks before harvest. Suitable only for late varieties, and its purpose is to improve the taste and extend the shelf life of the heads.
Potassium sulfate is suitable as an autumn top dressing. It dissolves in water and is applied at the root of the plant.
How to properly feed cabbage
I always adhere to the following rules when fertilizing cabbage:
- the feeding procedure is carried out only in cloudy weather or in the evening, after sunset;
- after feeding, the cabbage is watered abundantly;
- plants are watered at the root on the basis that one head of cabbage needs at least half a liter of the prepared solution.
