Drying is considered the most convenient and effective way to preserve celery, during this process essential oils and useful components are not lost. First you need to wash the product, dry it on a cloth and grind it. For drying, you can use an open oven, the temperature should be between +40 ° C and +50 ° C. Dried foods are stored in hermetically sealed containers, cloth bags or paper bags away from dampness.

Freezing

All parts of the plant can be frozen: in this case, all vitamins and minerals are preserved, but the aroma is lost.

Before placing in the freezer, the green parts and the root must be washed and dried on a cloth. And the roots need to be cleaned.

For freezing, you can use the stems with leaves as a whole, wrapped in film or placed in containers with a lid. Branches become brittle when frozen, this should not be forgotten when laying loosely in containers.

The green mass is cut and frozen in bags, films or containers, slightly crushing and removing excess air. This method helps to save space in the freezer, and ice does not form inside the packages.

The prepared chopped greens are frozen with ice. At the same time, parts of the greens are laid out in tins, crushed and poured with liquid. Frosts are placed in bags and placed in a freezer.

The root parts can be cut or grated, put in bags or containers with lids.

Keep the portions of the layout small so that it is easier to separate the pieces of celery and use in the next cooking. The frozen product cannot be re-frozen.
