After the crop is harvested on the site, it is necessary to start work inside the polycarbonate greenhouse. We need sanitization of the room. It is important to get rid of fungal and mold pores, infectious pathogens, pathogenic bacteria.
Preparing the greenhouse for wintering
If there is no disinfection of the premises and soil, then future crops may be in danger. For disinfection, you can use "Fitosporin" and other similar preparations. The greenhouse structure must also be cleaned of dust, rust and dirt.
Seasonal soil preparation
During the cultivation of plants, pathogenic cultures accumulate. Disinfection of the earth and digging will help get rid of them. These are effective preventive measures against damage to future crops by apical rot, whitefly, aphids, spider mites, thrips, etc.
Cleaning
In a polycarbonate greenhouse, you must:
- Remove plant residues.
- Take out all foreign objects at hand.
- Dig up the soil.
- Replace the top of the soil or decontaminate it.
- Wash and clean the outside and inside of the greenhouse.
When the crop is harvested, stakes, racks, trellises, residues of covering material and various equipment should be removed from the greenhouse. The greenhouse must be washed and then treated with Fitosporin or manganese solution. The inventory in the solution should be soaked for 1 hour. Further, everything is dried and stored for the winter.
How to handle greenhouse structures
If it is possible to remove the polycarbonate coating, then it should be done, since pathogenic bacteria accumulate on the surface. Plates should be treated with disinfectants, but they are thoroughly washed beforehand.
It is recommended to wash the frame components of the greenhouse with soapy water. The solution should be wiped off with a cloth.
Disinfection of soil in the beds in the greenhouse
In order for the greenhouse land to be as ready as possible for spring, it should be rid of foliage, stems and roots. The upper part of the soil is removed or disinfected. Up to 10 cm of soil is removed, in its place, prepared soil is placed.
Next, you need to dig up the soil along with the bottom layer of the earth. Organic fertilizers such as rotted manure can be added.
If during the season there were no pests or diseases, then the top layer of the soil can not be removed. For preventive purposes, it must be disinfected with boiling water. You can also take a solution of ferrous sulfate 3%, a solution of copper sulfate or a solution of lime with chlorine.
