In winter, plants need additional support more than ever. And one of the most effective means I can call hydrogen peroxide. This drug is a real salvation for home greenery, as it activates the processes of photosynthesis and defense mechanisms, helping plants to eat well and resist diseases. I will tell you more about this miraculous "agro-drink" below.
For home processing of flowers and vines, a well-diluted solution is used; it is not recommended to use a pure product. I apply it both as a root fertilizer and as a green biomass spray. In addition, initially, when planting in new pots, I also treat them with peroxide in order to disinfect the surface.
The effect of this pharmacy supplement is quite rapid. I noticed that my pet plant pets cheered up and began to look much better after two or three treatment sessions. The greenery quickly filled with density and color, new shoots appeared, flowers that had stood and dormant for a long time released arrows and buds. In general, my home garden took a new top dressing with a bang.
The preparation of the desired solution is very simple - ordinary tap water or a filter is defended for 8-10 hours, and the "medicine" itself is added immediately before use, measuring the required amount drops. I advise you to always use a fresh product when opening a new bottle, which is not too burdensome given the low cost of peroxide at the pharmacy. I usually use a 3% drug, it is optimal and safe for both plants and the inhabitants of the house.
Approximate dosages:
- daily use for watering and moistening - only a couple of drops of peroxide per liter of settled water;
- to disinfect new soil before planting - I take 5 drops for 1 liter of water;
- for health watering - 40 ml per 1 liter, you need to carry it out once a week;
- the above composition is suitable for spraying;
- to get rid of parasites, 20-30 ml of medical alcohol is added to the irrigation solution and the affected areas are sprayed with the resulting infusion.
When working with peroxide, I only take liquids at room temperature.
I always spray flowers in stages: first the stems, shoots, and then the leaves and flowers. Moreover, in the latter, I first process the lower part of the petal, and then refresh it from above in the form of a fine rain.
Before using, I try to remove all dry twigs and leaves, as well as debris from the soil surface.
Always remember that undiluted peroxide can harm plants, causing them severe burns. This forces many flower growers to use the drug with great care, or even refuse to use it altogether. If you are worried and cannot make up your mind, then I can advise you to try it on one plant first, diluting the proposed mixtures two times weaker and see the effect. If you like the result, then you can safely use peroxide, observing the dosages and rules of application.
