Almost all gardeners grow tomatoes. To get a good harvest, you need to follow agrotechnical rules and use biological complex fertilizers.

Features of soil for tomatoes

Tomatoes grow well on loamy and sandy loam soil with good air exchange. If the soil is acidic, then every 3 or 4 years dolomite flour or lime should be added to it in an amount of 250-600 g per 1 square meter.

If the soil is heavy and clayey, then up to two buckets of rotted manure or compost, as well as a bucket of sawdust and sand, are applied per 1 square meter. Sand and sawdust must first be soaked in a urea solution at the rate of 10 liters of water per 150 g of the product.

Preparing the land for planting tomatoes

When preparing the land, it is recommended to apply biological fertilizer in an amount of 70 to 120 g per 1 square meter. "Biofertilization" from "Fasco" is suitable for tomatoes. The product will nourish the plants and help improve the physical properties of the soil. This preparation contains potassium and sodium salts of humic acids, which are an excellent growth stimulant. There is also ash, trace elements and horse compost. The last element acts as a source of phosphorus, potassium and nitrogen.

Planting tomatoes

In the middle zone of our country, plants can be planted in greenhouses in mid-May. For an open area, you need to wait until June. Bushes are planted at intervals of up to 45 cm. If seedlings are planted, then the tomatoes are buried in the ground to the cotyledon leaves - they have a rounded shape. Or planting occurs before the first pair of ordinary leaves.

If no fertilizers were applied to the soil, then “Biofertilization” can be poured into the bottom of each hole. Further, it remains in a timely manner:

  • loosen the beds;
  • remove weeds;
  • water the plants regularly;
  • to carry out top dressing and preventive treatment.

Tomatoes are watered exclusively at the root. Water should not come into contact with the leaves so that fungus does not appear. Moisture is needed as much as possible for tomatoes during fruiting. Watering outdoors is done up to twice a week, and in greenhouses once a week.

For each bush of tomatoes, you need to spend up to five liters of water.

Top dressing

It is performed twice a season. The first time the plants are fed 20 days after planting. A preparation containing potassium, phosphorus and nitrogen is used. After the end of flowering, fertilizing with a similar composition is again needed.

The fertilizing procedure is carried out several times a season during the growing season. You need to take up to 50 g of top dressing per 1 square meter. Bioprocessing has a long-term effect. It is used to:

  • improve plant immunity;
  • build up the fruit mass;
  • activate abundant flowering.

Regardless of the variety of tomatoes and planting time, it is worth using biological fertilizing. Also, to get a good harvest, you need to water it regularly.
