I went to Rostelecom today to break the contract and accidentally found out the baaaal-baaal secret of how to reduce the fee for the "collective antenna" by half for a year.
If you live in Moscow and you have an "Antenna" item in your payment for housing and communal services - 245 rubles a month (in fact, this is not an antenna, but cable TV), I will now teach you one trick.
Call 8 (800) 100-08-00 through the menu to the live operator (it took me 7 minutes to wait) and say that you want to turn off the antenna (don't be afraid, they don't turn it off by phone). The operator checks your address (80% of Moscow is Rostelecom, 20% of Akado) and if you have Rostelecom cable television, the operator asks you why you want to turn off the antenna. You answer that you rarely watch TV and pay is expensive. And then the operator offers you a 50% discount for a year. Agree. :)
For a year you will pay not 245 rubles, but 122.5 rubles per month, and after a year you can call again and say that you want to turn it off. ;)
As far as I understand, this offer is written in the operator's script and a 50% discount for a year is offered to everyone who tries to turn off the antenna.
Well, if you really want to turn it off, it is impossible to do this by phone and you will have to go to Old Arbat, 46s1, or to Suschevsky Val, 26, where I visited today.
