Why doesn't the boiler light up?
The cause of this problem is often incorrect work. ignition electrode and mostly ionization electrode. These two elements are constantly exposed to high temperatures and their surface is covered with carbon deposits, burns out and degrades. And with annual maintenance, a specialist must clean it out, bring it into working order, which is not always done by unscrupulous businessmen.
- If the boiler nevertheless ignites, but immediately goes out, then this means the boiler does not see how the flame is burning and closes the gas valve for safety reasons. And the ionization electrode is responsible for controlling the flame, in theory it can be cleaned by the owner himself, this is done with a copper braid.
Why doesn't the boiler hold pressure?
The boiler does not hold pressure in one case: Expansion tank out of order or it is simply not pumped up to the prescribed pressure. In my experience, in 90% of cases, the tank is not pumped up. And this affects the behavior of the boiler in this way: When the water heats up, the pressure in the heating system rises, and when it cools down, the pressure drops. Accordingly, the expansion tank built into the boiler or external is faulty.
- The built-in expansion tank can be pumped up on your own, for this you drain the coolant from the boiler, using a spusnik, or unscrew the "American". This is done to set the correct pressure. There is a nipple in the tank, like a car nipple. Connect a pump to it and build up pressure from 1 to 2 bar. It is advisable to take information about the required pressure from the instructions for the serviced equipment.
Why double-circuit the boiler does not heat the water?
The most common problem in such circuits is clogged secondary circuit, into which cold water enters, it heats up in the heat exchanger, and at the outlet we get hot. Often, due to the high hardness of the water, the heat exchanger becomes covered with build-ups. In order to return it to working condition, flushing with a special compound and flushing technique will be required. Sometimes the three-way valve that switches the fluid flows fails. Entrust the treatment of these problems to service specialists.
- Sometimes it is necessary to clean the coarse filter at the cold water inlet to the boiler. This is the first thing to do when the cold water flow is low. Turn off the cutoff filter taps and unscrew the cap with the mesh, clean it.

Very often, such a problem occurs in unconfigured boilers; a certain, averaged operating parameter is set at the factory. The owner of the boiler already has completely different working conditions, a small or very large volume of coolant, different lengths of the circuits, an unbalanced system, etc. criteria. For all these parameters, a specialist already on the spot adjusts the operation of the boiler through the menu and setting the gas boiler. If these works are not initially carried out, then the boiler often clocks and quickly puts the equipment out of order. Over time, it is also possible that such a problem may occur already on a configured boiler due to changes in parameters and operating conditions.
Is the boiler not reaching the set temperature?
In very complex heating systems: there is no gas separation, a lot of coolant, a lot of circuits that consume thermal energy (radiator network, warm floor, bathhouse, guest house, etc.). Very "cold" return. In these cases, it is necessary to adjust the boiler power, it is necessary to change the factory parameters, exactly at the place of operation of the system.
Why is the gas boiler not working from the generator?
The boiler is a complex technical device and it is demanding on the parameters of electricity. Namely to a sinusoid. An ordinary, inexpensive generator can give an incorrect sinusoid, too curve or elongated, from which the boiler can go into "Protection" and not turn on. Therefore, for emergencies, inverter generators that produce a "pure" sine wave are recommended. In addition, do not forget that the connected generator, like the boiler, must have a working ground loop.
When the boiler is ignited, there is a strong pop, why?
So the gas is not set! Very high gas concentration when switched on at minimum power. In case of a malfunction of the chimney in an open system, there is no draft or the speed of the air flow and burnt gases is less than 0.4 m / s. And if there are problems in a closed chamber, with forced ventilation, then the gas valve settings are simply not configured or the settings are knocked down.
