Every motorist wants his car to serve faithfully for many years. However, any car is too complex a mechanism. Therefore, it contains a huge number of nodes and parts in a predictable way. One of the common "pain points" is the timing belt.
Timing belt breakage occurs quite rarely, even in those car models where this problem makes itself felt much more often than in others. Nevertheless, a broken belt is guaranteed to cause a serious headache and cause a lot of inconvenience. This is because in the vast majority of cases it happens at the most inopportune moment. Worst of all, a cliff may even end up with a major overhaul of the car's engine. Which cars have this problem manifested most prominently?
1. Lada Kalina and Lada Granta
Many drivers complain about the quality of the belt in these cars. By some evil irony, the timing belt itself has nothing to do with it. The real culprit is the water pump, the pump, which often gets jammed after 40 thousand kilometers. It is the jamming of the pump that causes the belt to break.
2. Datsun Mi-Do and On-Do
Conventionally Japanese cars, which are currently being assembled in the Russian Togliatti. As with the aforementioned vehicles, the main culprit is not the belt itself, but pump malfunctioning which leads first to jamming, and then to a natural break strap.

The quality of the parts in the car is seriously lame. The first serious problems arise already at 60 thousand kilometers. The timing belt should be checked for wear even more often - every 45 thousand kilometers.
4. Chevrolet lanos
One of the few cars in which the source of timing belt breakage problems is the timing belt itself. For cars coming off the assembly line, its quality really leaves much to be desired. After several tens of thousands of kilometers, numerous cracks and potholes appear, which eventually become the cause of the break.

5. Skoda Octavia
Most of the problems with the timing belt are observed in cars of the "age" series, produced in the period from 1998 to 2011. The cars of that time were characterized by extremely rapid belt wear, despite the fact that the Octavia's pump was very reliable. The manufacturers themselves recommend replacing every 50 thousand kilometers.
