Layout
The original layout was practically not changed. Julia immediately selected an apartment that would best meet the needs of the residents. The family first of all needed a spacious kitchen-living room, a large balcony and a dressing room. The only modification was planned niches for built-in furniture in the kitchen, hallway and nursery. This made it possible to organize a sufficient number of storage systems while maintaining free space for light and air. A pier was also erected in the kitchen to mark the dining area.
The kitchen finish is quite bold. A rich emerald green shade was chosen for the walls, porcelain stoneware was laid on the floor under the concrete. The walls were originally gray, they were repainted in 2020, 5 years after the main renovation. The reference was live greenery - the apartment is located outside the city. Having acquired a new color, the apartment has become warmer, more comfortable and closer to nature.
The set was divided into two blocks: the main one - two tiers of cabinets, an additional one - a tall pencil case and a refrigerator. Hanging cabinets were allowed only along one wall to visually lighten the interior. A mirror in a massive frame - originally from the 19th century, after restoration it became the main feature of the interior.
Bedroom
The interior of the bedroom is calm. The designer sought to create a relaxed atmosphere in the room, where she could rest from creative pursuits, and her eyes from a variety of colors and ornaments. The moldings behind the headboard helped to diversify the finish a little.
The wide opening leading to the dressing room was not closed with doors. The blue wall behind the storage systems echoes the bed upholstery.
Children
For the decoration of the nursery, they chose a warm gray shade, one of the walls was highlighted with wallpaper with a floral print from Borastapeter. The lodge bed was made to order. In addition to the sleeping place, a working area and a storage system were equipped here.
The minimum number of stand-alone shelves and other open storage systems in the nursery and other rooms made it possible to minimize the amount of dust in the apartment.
Hallway
Pale green paint was chosen to decorate the walls in the hallway. Against this background, a pouf with a tropical print looks organic. A built-in wardrobe with mirrored fronts works to visually increase the space.
Bathroom
The bathroom in the apartment is separate. In the decoration of the bathroom, two types of porcelain stoneware and decorative plaster for concrete in “non-wet” zones were combined. Walls covered with this material retain the ability to "breathe". In addition, such a surface is practical and easy to clean.
The bathroom is brighter. The green walls are complemented by a heron fresco inspired by illustrations by American naturalist John James Audubon.
