Most capsule coffee machine owners are sure that all capsules contain natural ground coffee, but this is not the case. Some Dolce Gusto capsules do not contain ground coffee, but instant coffee.
Once upon a time, everyone wanted to buy an automatic grain coffee machine, but now many people choose capsule machines. Although capsules are much more expensive than coffee beans, capsule machines have many advantages: the cost of a machine and capsules is five years more often turns out to be less than the cost of a grain machine (especially if you drink coffee no more than once a day), a capsule machine is simpler, more convenient and smaller in size, there are many varieties of capsules on sale with different flavors, including flavored ones, and coffee in the bean machine always the same.
Initially, Nespresso and Dolce Gusto capsules contained only natural ground coffee, but five years ago, Nestle threw a ball with the release of Dolce Gusto Cortado coffee with milk capsules. Many people liked them, although they did not contain ground coffee, but instant two-in-one.
These capsules differed significantly not only in content, but also in design. This is how the Cortado capsule looks after use: it is completely empty, the contents have dissolved in water.
And this is how a used capsule with ground coffee looks like. Ground coffee remains under the film in the center of the capsule, because it is insoluble in water.
In fact, the manufacturer does not hide anything, it just does not advertise much. Both on the box and on the website the composition is written in small letters: "Powdered whole milk (61.8%), coffee natural soluble (36.5%), stabilizers (potassium phosphates and sodium citrates), emulsifier (soy lecithin)".
Dolce Gusto now has four varieties of instant coffee capsules: Cortado, Flat White, Almond Flat White, Coconut Flat White.
Of course, there were also varieties with natural ground coffee and most of them (Espresso, Ristretto, Lungo, Americano and others), as well as all varieties with a separate milk capsule).
Probably, if people like it, there is nothing wrong with the fact that in the part of the capsules, not ground, but instant coffee, no, but it seems to me better to know about this in advance when choosing coffee. So I warned you. :)
