Once a year I connect an antenna to the TV, direct it to the Ostankino tower and scan the Moscow TV air. Today, 6.2.2022, I did it again and found only small changes compared to what it was a year ago.

TV: changes on air 2022

Let me remind you that all collective antennas were dismantled in Moscow a long time ago. All houses have only cable TV, payment for which is included in a single payment document (EPD) for utilities. The confusion arises from the fact that cable television is still referred to as "Antenna" in the ENP. From 2022, this service costs 245 rubles per month if your operator is Rostelecom and 273 rubles per month if Akado.

But it is absolutely not necessary to pay for watching television: TV broadcasting continues from the Ostankino Tower, the signal can be received on an individual antenna.

On April 15, 2019, analog television broadcasting was to be completely turned off in Russia. It was finally discontinued on August 10, 2021, but much to my surprise, it resumed on January 1, 2022. Now there are two analog channels on the air: "Disney" 29 channel (538 Mhz), "U" 51 channel (478 Mhz).

Digital channels are transmitted in multiplexes - ten digital channels are transmitted on the same frequency of the former decimeter analog channel, now there are four such multiplexes.

There are almost no changes compared to the previous years in digital broadcasting:

1 First channel
2 Russia 1
3 match
4 NTV
5 Channel five
6 Russia-K
7 Russia-24
8 Carousel
9 OTR
10 TV Center

11 Ren TV
12 Spas
13 STS
14 Home
15 TV-3
16 Friday
17 Star
18 World
19 TNT
20 MUZ-TV

The third multiplex was originally launched not for viewers, but to circumvent the law on advertising - up to 12 TV channels broadcast on each of its channels alternately so that the channels were considered "on-air" (https://ammo1.livejournal.com/582351.html).

Now seven channels of this multiplex have become more or less full-fledged:

21 Saturday!
24 Cartoon and music (Sarafan channel broadcasts from 00:00 to 12:00)
26 Euronews (Moscow Trust channel broadcasts from 00:00 to 12:00)
27 Music of the First (at night from 04:30 to 06:30 the Dom Kino channel broadcasts)
28 TNT4 (Auto Plus channel broadcasts from 22 to 00)
29 News
30 Match! the country

Here is the entire broadcasting grid of the third multiplex from the site Telepedia.

The fourth multiplex broadcasts in FullHD. The channels are exactly the same as in the first multiplex:

200 First Channel HD
201 Russia 1 HD
202 Match HD
203 NTV HD
204 Fifth channel SD
205 Russia-K HD
206 Russia-24 SD
207 Carousel HD
208 OTP HD
209 TV Center HD

In order to watch free digital TV, you need a TV that supports the DVB-T2 standard (all modern TVs support this format) or a DVB-T2 set-top box (from 1000 rubles) connected to an old TV. You will also need a custom antenna. Digital television is less critical to the quality of the antenna, so even a simple indoor UHF antenna will do and chances there is a signal to successfully catch the signal even if the windows face the wrong side where Ostankinskaya is located tower. An excellent homemade antenna can be made of two beer cans and hangers.

It is sad that there is still no main Moscow TV channel Moskva24 on the Moscow air.
